Referendum : to be in Europe or not to be ?, that is the question ! (REF)

required field - 03 Feb 2016 10:00

Thought I'd start a new thread as this is going to be a major talking point this year...have not made up my mind yet...(unlike bucksfizz)....but thinking of voting for an exit as Europe is not doing Britain any good at all it seems....

They already know you fool..These so called self employed supply the desired
details to the benefits offices...And we've had this argument before the referendum
and i made a fool of you then and i have no problem doing the same again..

And what the frick are you talking about 'attention span'..FOOL!!..

cynic - 22 May 2017 18:20 - 6983 of 12628

please do so by supplying names and identities .... i certainly don't recollect you actually doing so earlier, though you have assuredly blathered enough about it

The cockroaches remind me of a meal I had at the house of a mine agent in Rajasthan. Lovely couple with very smart and intelligent children. During my meal, which was the usual rice and curry, I felt that special texture in my mouth. I removed it as discreetly as I could and discovered it was a large cockroach. I sifted through the rest of the curry with my fork and found a couple more. I had read in the Air India flight magazine that it was not unusual for roaches to be eaten so didn't know if they were in there by design or accident. I decided to stay quiet and just eat the rice and no second helpings thank you. I have probably eaten worse without knowing.

cynic - 22 May 2017 18:39 - 6985 of 12628

i wouldn't recommend eating them unless perhaps deep fried to purge them of the likely lurking lurgies

Protein.

Here we go again (or not)

Dr Andrew Watt, a retired Scottish doctor, said Ms May’s notification to the head of the European Council Donald Tusk of the UK’s intention to leave the EU on 29 March is void because the country never officially decided to leave the union.

He argued last year’s EU referendum was not a legally binding decision but according to Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty, member states have to decide to leave the EU in accordance with constitutional requirements before notifying Brussels of their intention.

Dr Watt said the UK never took the constitutional decision to leave the EU, making unlawful any later notice of withdrawal.

VICTIM - 23 May 2017 10:36 - 6989 of 12628

Why isn't the EU telling us that we can't do what we are doing , surely they would stick that up our noses wouldn't they .

iturama - 23 May 2017 10:36 - 6990 of 12628

I'm sure there are lots of whatsnots denying the obvious, including doctors and nurses. Last time I looked the Brexit bill had been approved by the Commons and HOL and signed off by the Queen.

cynic - 24 May 2017 08:32 - 6991 of 12628

TORY MAJORITY
interesting to note from the IG spread that despite some recent slippage, the conservatives are still perceived as getting a majority of 55/60 seats
my own view is that it'll be closer to 40, though that should suffice for a sufficiently strong hand when negotiating in brussels

iturama - 24 May 2017 08:55 - 6992 of 12628

Corbyn has been sweet talking the electorate and bribing students. Goodie bags for all. One Labour government maxed out its credit card, the incoming Conservativ substantially paid it down, now Corbyn wants to max it out again.

MaxK - 24 May 2017 08:58 - 6993 of 12628

On the face of it, the bookies have been getting it wrong, altho I suspect the predictions from them have been designed to suit their book rather than any far reaching insight.

My problem with a big tory win is Treesa, as I don't trust her.

VICTIM - 24 May 2017 09:01 - 6994 of 12628

Is the problem though MaxK there is no one else to trust .

VICTIM - 24 May 2017 09:06 - 6995 of 12628

I was thinking maybe wrongly that as we voted out , we should have a new thread on here going into negotiations and such , hopefully with the Cons .

cynic - 24 May 2017 09:10 - 6996 of 12628

why are you so naive to think that leaving EU could ever be simple, even if one truly wanted it to be

required field - 31 May 2017 21:47 - 6997 of 12628

I still think TM will win the forthcoming election but it's the sort of time when you get polls all over the place...it happens all the time just before the final sprint...ftse is far too high...and the pound far too low so a correction both ways is overdue....and probably crude is undervalued....

Dysfunctional' EU has plunged into existential crisis, George Soros warns

Not a great fan of George Soros but his article in the DT makes a lot of sense in my book. But will the EU heed? Doubt it because Germany has to be the first to change its ways and it's not in its nature.

required field - 10 Jun 2017 12:33 - 6999 of 12628

Let's be fair ....a lot of Europeans are envious of the the UK getting a good deal out of Brexit...and I think we will....

Fred1new - 10 Jun 2017 14:43 - 7000 of 12628

If you consider taking your begging bowls to Brussels.

A good deal, perfect deal. (Horse Sh. in a "strong and stable". strikes me to having the smell of the stables which needs cleaning out.)

grannyboy - 10 Jun 2017 16:20 - 7001 of 12628

Talking of stinking smell..I see little fred has posted another bag of B.S..
