THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

CC is allowed. Likewise Tanker. They have a doctors note. When they start to use foul language instead of fowl language, we will reconsider.

Haystack - 09 Apr 2016 12:51 - 69913 of 81564

Only worried about bad language from lefties. They need to be put in their place. I find that lefties do get a bit above their station sometimes and need to be slapped down occasionally.

ExecLine - 09 Apr 2016 12:58 - 69914 of 81564

Here Here - about those among us with PhDs in liberal arts subjects and suchlike and their friends.

Does that just about cover 'the lefties' on here?

ExecLine - 09 Apr 2016 13:10 - 69915 of 81564

Meanwhile, I continue to debate with myself:

1. Should I upgrade to Windows 10, whilst there is still time to do it for Free? Apparently, there are now 100 days left to decide.

I'm currently at the 'might as well do it but not just yet' stage.

2. In or Out of the EU?

Still plenty of time to change my mind. I'm currently at the 'Definitely vote Out stage'.

3. Is Cameron a crook?

I'm at the 'nobody's perfect' stage and think he is very, very good at the job. Once he's showed us his Tax returns, my £10 is on people will say, 'Aha! But what about his wife, Samantha's Tax Returns? After that, if I win, it will be, 'Aha! And what about his mother's Tax Returns', etc, etc. I'm old enough to remember whan there was a 15% income tax surcharge on 'unearned income'. Add that to the then top rate of income tax and people like Michael Cain were leaving the country.

4. Should we let people like Michael Cain back in again?

5. Etc, etc.

Chris Carson - 09 Apr 2016 16:06 - 69916 of 81564

Yes go easy on the foul language granny, i only use it to tell Fred and Stan To Fxxx Off! No sense of humour.. No sense either :0) Up the workers!

Fred1new - 09 Apr 2016 17:07 - 69917 of 81564

Exec,

If you are not having problems with your current OS, why not wait until you "buy" your next computer and take windows 10 preloaded?

Maybe doing so may well save a lot of buggering about for little gain.

But I have a reluctance to upgrading, as it probably means purchasing another edition of Office and my present one has Outlook, etc. which I like.

-=-=-=-=

I would label Cameron as a psychopath.

But morality is here to-day and gone to-morrow.

Chris Carson - 09 Apr 2016 17:55 - 69918 of 81564

Never mind Fred, come back Neil Pillock all is forgiven? Cause let's be honest even you as a plastic Marxist (first in the queue for the next IPO) hand on heart cannot possibly think that Jeremy Corbyn is on this planet, let alone leader of your beloved Labour Party.

Up the workers!

Chris Carson - 09 Apr 2016 17:59 - 69919 of 81564

PS I should have said plastic ARMCHAIR Marxist, cause you can't be arsed to vote!

Chris Carson - 09 Apr 2016 23:56 - 69920 of 81564

PPS I take it as an honour you have filtered me Freddy Boy, just think of the multitudes who have filtered you over the years. So much so in fact they have left MAM, you must be so proud!

The Guardian
"Cameron faces questions over £200,000 gift from mother". Now I am no fan of Cameron but I feel like flapping my elbows and clucking fowl language when I read such irrelevant nonsense.
More obscene is the inheritance tax which is snaring more and more as house prices rise. Good on Cameron's mother for taking the right steps to ensure her money goes where she wants it. Rather that than some slack-chinned civil servant sending it to Pakistan.

Fred1new - 10 Apr 2016 09:46 - 69923 of 81564

It.

Sounds like time for you to leave the country!

jimmy b - 10 Apr 2016 10:43 - 69924 of 81564

You got that right Chris ,you should add to that bloody hypocrite .

Interesting article in the Times magazine by Trevor Phillips ,"what do British Muslims really think" to be followed by a programme this week ,it shows what we fear, that they don't want to integrate .

grannyboy - 10 Apr 2016 10:51 - 69925 of 81564

Yes isn't it strange when you get socialist lefties intimating that if you don't like something or disagree with an ideology, they should think about leaving THEIR country...

I suppose that's to make way for ALL the 'destitute' fleeing persecuted migrants that wish to adapt to our way of life and culture....

jimmy b - 10 Apr 2016 10:57 - 69926 of 81564

Did Fred say that ?

Has anyone ever thought despite the handle of Fred , maybe he's an immigrant ,maybe he's a Muslim who wants Sharia law .

It makes me laugh when he was berating me that he doesn't know what colour or race i am either .

Haystack - 10 Apr 2016 12:48 - 69927 of 81564

You mean Mohamfred.

Fred1new - 10 Apr 2016 12:58 - 69928 of 81564

Granny.

Check I said "the" country.

Possessions, seem important to you.

Or, is it the word "think" you have problems with?

-=====

JB,

Colour, race, or religion haven't been problems for me.

But it does seem to be for you and others on this thread.

-===--

Also, seems the affliction also is one part of Haze's problems.

Fred1new - 10 Apr 2016 13:04 - 69929 of 81564

Just noticed this:

The name Cameron is a Scottish baby name. In Scottish the meaning of the name Cameron is: Derives from a Scottish surname; from the Gaelic meaning crooked or bent nose. A common first name in Scotland, and in 2Oth century Canadian and Australian families of Scottish descent.

Fred1new - 10 Apr 2016 14:41 - 69930 of 81564

Dateline London may be of interest to some.

But JB and mates should avoid it as is seems Con propaganda.

A quote from 2009

http://labourlist.org/2009/05/cameron-i-dont-know-how-many-houses-ive-got/

"Cameron: “I don’t know how many houses I’ve got”

So how many properties do you own? “I own a house in North Kensington which you’ve been to and my house in the constituency in Oxfordshire and that is, as far as I know, all I have.”

A house in Cornwall? “No, that is, Samantha used to have a timeshare in South Devon but she doesn’t any more.” And there isn’t a fourth? “I don’t think so – not that I can think of.” Please don’t say, “Not that I can think of.” “You might be… Samantha owns a field in Scunthorpe but she doesn’t own a house…”
The rest of the interview was punctuated with Cameron’s nagging anxiety about how this exchange was going to make him sound: “I was wondering how that will come across as a soundbite”; “‘Not that I can think of’ makes me sound… I am really worried about that…”; “I am still thinking about this house thing”; and his parting shot was: “Do not make me sound like a prat for not knowing how many houses I’ve got.”"

We don't have to, you have done it yourself.

And take that finger off the bomb button, it's dangerous.
