Theratese is a nice little company with a good position in the fast growing diagnostics market.
It expertise also means it is participating -- has stakes in -- a number of drug trials it is doing. Recent results and comment excellent and looked good value for the long termers at 60p. DYOR here and it looks impressive, makes money and is on relatively low PE.
Now company announces it is in takeover talks -- and moves up to 68p or so. Wow!!
Key here for me is that takeover is likely to come from someone who knows the business and therefore the pipeline . Therefore takeover could be considerable above current levels if company comment on potential of pipeline etc is anything to go by.
Sitting on 13x historic, cash positive and plenty of blue sky a takeover must be at least 18x historic in my opinion --- c1 a share. If it falls through you still have a share underpinned by earnings and future pipeline. -- say back to 60p, possibly slightly lower on immediate reaction. Nice upside/downside risk IMHO
Free Money -- I think so, just surprised there was no thread already

statement today suggests ongoing talks re possible bid.
This suggests that
Obviously no free monet hear --stock down c25% since I started message 2 months ago, but I continue to think this co is about longer term pipeline and that the potential bidder is looking at this not the Korean opps. Bid price may have been affected but still think big returns from here if goes ahead, with downside max to 40p.
Been wrong before as you can see. :-0

Well not quite free money but all's well that ends with a takeout bid above where you got in at , although not where this thread started :-)
