Shares has highlighted the clumsy arrangements.......crushing a large diamond and finding others that were more-valuable than originally thought....Oh deary.

However this pales into insignificance compared with the June Placing of 40m shares of 5p - what is NOT clear from the RNS is what price they achieved for these 5p shares - was it 5p ( and they are not saying), or was it 10p mentioned earlier......the difference is a huge amount and I think shareholders would like to know why they are not saying.
(please also come clean as to the costs, for this shabby funding. Er, by all accounts).
Kopane isn't looking much better that the European Diamonds it started out as - a pretty stupid name, considering most diamonds are found outside Europe...eh?
As always DYOR......all IMHO.

The OTHER site appears to be down this morning. Article in Mail on Sunday appears to have sparked some interest judging from the pre-open price. Actually it's a rehash of old news from last November's RNS update, which few seem to have paid any attention to at the time.

The 'Tuesday Press Roundup' made reference to a mention in today's Daily Express, so I've checked online:

"LESOTHO diamond explorer Kopane Diamond Developments sparkled yesterday, soaring 9p to 16p. Amid speculation that the company was set to announce a deposit valued at over 1.5billion, Kopane said it was expecting an updated independent resource report shortly.

Kopanes rising fortunes rubbed off on mining group Obtala Resources, up 2p to 18p, which has a near-30 per cent stake in the company."


If this were to be confirmed, we have another vertical take-off!

* Further work being undertaken to assess full value of Main Pipe grade

Kopane Diamonds is understood to be closing on a deal to fund development of it's main asset Lesotho. The group is thought to be seeking as much as $70 million from the investor in return for up to a 50% stake.
Kopane recently raised the estimated value of diamonds at the site by 19% to $2.6 BILLION but the value could be higher after discovering exceptionally large gems in a small drilling sample.The group's estimate is based on a selling price of only $86 a carat, compared with the $20.000 recently achieved by Gem Diamonds its local rival.
Kopane also wants to reopen production at it's smaller satellite site.

couldn't have picked a worse day to announce some good news.....still got 60 odd days to wait for agreement to be reached and then we might just see the 35p target.......

15th Dec result of investment.. should add a couple of extra pennies.

15/12 - imo as good as a done deal - should achieve 20p + quite easily but heard rns may not actually be out till 16/12
