Whats everyone's thoughts on Minmet?
History would say that with the price falling back, a sharp rise will follow any news. Seems a very nice price to get in!

Hi all, very new to this site but. I tried a bit of that momementum investing on this one. A short while ago on the release of some good news, (the acquisition of the other 50% I think)the price started rising and I jumped in at 7p. It promptly started heading south and is currently near capetown.
With the increasing gold buzz around at the moment and now that Minmet is actually a producer I think this will recover, and If the price of Gold keeps rising 10p is not out of the question within six months IMHO.
There are a lot of fans of this one on the MW website and indeed MW himself feels that this is a bargin at the moment.

In view of its recently increased prospects MNT at approx. 5p to buy is probably a good long term investment. The present gradual rise in the gold price will be a favourable influence.

News just out about a cooperative deal with a Canadian Co. has lifted the shares up to 5.5p to buy. MNT is less risky than it used to be. Probably a good long term hold.

LONDON (AFX) - Minmet PLC said it has received "excellent" results from
ongoing exploration and development drill programmes at its 100 pct owned
Bjorkdal gold mine in Northern Sweden.
This work includes logging and assaying of previously un-assayed drill
core, as well as ongoing reverse circulation development drilling as part of
Stages 1 and 2 of the Bjorkdal development plan and new diamond drilling
exploration programmes.
MinMet CEO Michael Nolan said the results continue to encourage the group
that Bjorkdal can be a significant low-cost gold producer in the near future.
"Bjorkdal together with our current exploration portfolio puts us in a
strong position to take full advantage of the current bullish market for the
resource sector to further expand MinMet as a successful and innovative mining
and exploration company."

Yeah, saw that Sober, very encouraging indeed - month end production figures should also give this one a most welcome boost. Three words form Michael Nolan that jump out are:
SIGNIFICANT - LOW-COST - NEAR FUTURE <- music to the ear of any investor;)
Other mining companies seem to be enjoying the run on gold, precious metals and diamonds, so lets hope it continues. These are going to seem so cheap in the very near future, can't you just feel it in your waters.
Good luck

Gold rising to 395p this morning has got to be good for MNT. Bit more patience here may well pay off.

Ample site mentions bullish post on MNT just out by Mike Walters. Nearly 5p to buy so expect a bit more buying today. These have been a lot higher in the past and with the go-ahead new management they could well be on the way up again. Since they are gold miners the price of gold presently up to over 400US$ has got to have a favourable influence as well.

I into MNT at a small profit, but only because I bought in those dark days of 2p - the company holds its agms in Dublin (I think) and unil they list in London I don't see this as a real investment.
Maybe some profit on the market rise, but that's not investment - it's speculation.
It is largely a news-driven stock - of course if they strike GOLD then Profits for some - but will we see any dividends....I wonder? It should make for a jump in price and that may signal OUT for many speculators that bought during the lengthy LOW times.
