Medisys are down 13% this morning and I can't find any news - anyone know why?

There are rumours that MDY have signed a new distribution deal for the Futura with a US company.Launch date March 2004. Does anybody know anything about this and who it might be.

Results possibly flat.

Most important for the market sentiment is news based on the re-marketing of futura safety syringe. Good News will give us at least +5p on the price IMHO, though no-one has heard anything as far as I can see.

The results will hopefully show break even or a small profit ( a big improvement from last year), but as garyk implies this share is not being traded on fundamentals but on sentiment. The management are not well trusted, and the futura debacle with Smiths earlier in the year just confirmed this. The only major shareholder, Fidelity, appears to have sold nearly all if not all of its stake. There is unlikely to be any share price upside until they announce a new partnership agreement for futura and also confirm when it will come to market. However, if this news is positive and comes in an announcement with the results on monday then the upside could be quite large. However, if there is no update, the shares are likely to slide back a little again. All imho, but this is more of a short term share gamble than an investment, you are betting on hope imo.
