Traders Thread - Thursday 4th November (TRAD)

Greystone - 04 Nov 2004 06:23

Bullshare - 04 Nov 2004 08:22 - 7 of 16

I have started a seperate thread about this.

Auto Trades - Blackbox - Bots

Call them what you will, but we have had a few requests from users if we would look at doing some coding on Level 2 etc so users can set their own trading parameters and let the system auto trade for them. The basics are you set your own parameters and the syetem trades it for you via your broker.

So questions is:

1) Which API trading feeds would you like us to link to, E*trade and GNI are the obvious starting points but any others.(Subject to their agreement)
2) Would you like this as a web product or as a downloadable application.
3) Pricing. Whats it worth to you ? 100 - 200 a month as a suggestion from some.
4) Do you want us to build in standard parameters or would you like to have 100% customisability yourselves.

Out of interest one of our users is already writing some L2 auction products to our API for a commercial release of his own.

A very quick morning all!

jj50 - 04 Nov 2004 09:04 - 9 of 16

Ian,

Now that I am going through the MAM.com address (not MAM.co.uk) the new home page definitely gets the thumbs up ... but then again, maybe I never saw the old page in its finery!

IanT(MoneyAM) - 04 Nov 2004 09:05 - 10 of 16

jj,

I am glad that you like the new look home page,

Ian

Big Al - 04 Nov 2004 10:22 - 11 of 16

For those who are wondering, I copy my earlier post from the Treders' Room thread in explanation of how my day began!

Morning punters!

Apologies for my late arrival, but in explanation I give you the following precis.

Al wakes at 6:30am in the usual manner, but must pack to travel to Norway at lunchtime. Better half is up way before and downloads emails. One email pops up on Norton as carrying a virus, from the same sender as one alerted over the weekend, which I, of course, had deleted immediately. Better half opens new email and then proceeds to open attachment!!!

Instead of sitting quietly for half an hour having my usual coffee and B&H early breakfast, Al fires up the virus checker to scan the whole computer - nothing found. Hmm.

So, no news from me today.

What part of the female brain is it that leads to this process occurring?

Al
;-)

PS - To top it off, I've just had a call from Norway to say stay at home until tomorrow. Anyone want a better half and a different job?
