BUGS - Report them here (BUGS)

zzaxx99 - 24 Jan 2003 09:02

The "number unread" column doesn't work. When you come back to the site (and log-in again) the number unread is being reset to the number of messages in the thread.

Also, though I can't put my finger on what the exact circumstances are, I'm havoing to log-in over and over again, which is really getting on my wick.

Just tried to post a message on the Tadpole trading thread. Post appeared to work, but on return to thread display, I was logged out. Clicked on a thread, and got this:

Tried to log-in, and each of 3 times it returned to the same login screen. Clicked back a couple of times, and tried again, got the same thing. Clicked on Investor's room, then Login, then Investor's room again, and got in OK, though my posted message had been lost. And yes, it was a long(ish) one.... :-(

Every time I log in and enter the password this jumps to the username
box and I have to reenter the password. Any remedy for this?

IanT(MoneyAM) - 12 Feb 2003 15:50 - 73 of 170

midknight,

Have you got the remember login details box ticked

why - 12 Feb 2003 17:11 - 74 of 170

i have noted two probs -

1 - the buy sell and ? trades for some shares do not total to the cumulative total. this often appears on WUN for instance.

2 - the ainsoph virus has now spread to this site.

zzaxx99 - 12 Feb 2003 17:14 - 75 of 170

IanT - this has only happened once (well, twice in quick succession), though I still sporadically get logged-out for no obvious reason

OSBORNE - 21 Feb 2003 08:45 - 77 of 170

Hi - Has anyone reported bugs with the "Trades" screen info - specifically that the buy/sell flags are often wrong? I use the GNItouch system, and when I'm watching the action on the level II bid/offer I can see bids taken out that are clearly sells but they are often (though not always) flagged as buys, and vice vera. Without better consistency, the TOS info is just unuseable because I have no faith in what the action really is.

brennanr - 20 Mar 2003 10:59 - 78 of 170

Yesterday I noticed that on two stocks (BLM was one) the first couple of trades had the bid and offer prices reversed (e.g offer=23, bid =25). It doesn't show now, but it did yesterday. The effect of this was that at first the mid-price was listed as having fallen, when in fact it had risen.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 20 Mar 2003 11:01 - 79 of 170

brennanr,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Ian

brennanr - 20 Mar 2003 17:16 - 80 of 170

IanT (MoneyAM),

I just noticed that BBG has done this as well today, i.e. bid and offer prices reversed up until 11.39am.

Homer - 23 Mar 2003 10:38 - 81 of 170

Cant see none

brennanr - 25 Mar 2003 10:43 - 82 of 170

When charting BLM the chart looks weird. Lots of big vertical bars.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 25 Mar 2003 11:27 - 83 of 170

brennanr

I will take a look at this and report back to you.

Ian

IanT(MoneyAM) - 25 Mar 2003 11:43 - 84 of 170

Brennanr,

Graph should be normal now for BLM. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Ian

brennanr - 25 Mar 2003 17:17 - 85 of 170

When typing in the EPIC code in the 'Search' facility for the investors' forums it seems to be case sensitive. For example, it can't find topics under 'bbg', but it can under 'BBG'.

brennanr - 26 Mar 2003 10:48 - 86 of 170

Trying to look for yesterday's trades for BBG. It says no trades found (but there was over 7 million).

brennanr - 26 Mar 2003 11:09 - 87 of 170

Although not a bug (I don't know where best to post this message) I would like to mention that it would be useful to have an 'announcement' flag on the monitor. Currently if an RNS comes through there is no way of knowing when looking on the monitor.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 26 Mar 2003 11:14 - 88 of 170

Brennanr,

Thanks for these, I will pass them on to the relevant departments.

Ian

Buggette in stockwatch. When adding a number of stocks, one of which is not recognised, even the recognised ones are not added and the message claims they are all invalid.
