Over the past three months I, probably like most have benefitted from the movement in small micro - cap stock that have risen heavily on increased liquidity. The next stock, despite having benefitted from a massive surge in share price back in April, that I have focused on is Ultrasis. This company is poised to secure the ever increasing Mental Health Market both at home and in the US (Several lucrative contracts already announced)through its suite of highly effective software.

Following two recent news announcements, it's beginning to look like after an extended period of restructuring and cost-cutting, the corner might have been turned for ULT.

ULT has seen decent success in selling it's products in the US. The US health market is now said to be showing signs of emergence from its period of consolidation and change but cost pressures on the US health system remain as a key feature. Nevertheless, ULT has increased its service to Managed Health Network Inc (MHN) and extended the contract through to August 2007 and The Relief Series is now available to more than four million people in the US. "Beating the Blues" has seen its first US success, being successfully used at Emory University Hospital, Atlanta and as a provider in Louisiana. Most recently, in January 2005, Value Options, a US company with 23 million members, announced that they too will license Beating the Blues:



In the UK and possibly further afield, ULT's markets look set to improve markedly over the next 2-3 years. First, two papers on "Beating the Blues"' clinical and cost effectiveness published in the British Journal of Psychiatry have stimulated world wide interest in "Beating the Blues".

Second, in Nov 2004, the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) published new stress management standards targeting over 33,500 companies in the UK with more than 50 employees. The first to feel the impact have been local authorities, who are recognised as having the biggest problem with sickness absence due to stress related problems. The HSE advocates a three stage approach to cutting down stress related absences, which are estimated to result in 13 million working days lost per year. The first stage is establishing if there are problems and where they occur, the second then provides support for staff, with the third and final stage geared to helping those who have developed clinical problems - such as anxiety or depression - get back to work. To meet the audit needs of the first stage in the process, ULT has released Calm Workplace - Work Related Stress Audit (WRSA) which provides employers of all types and sizes with an internet-based easy to implement and cost effective way to help meet the new HSE stress management standard. Calm Workplace - WRSA completes the suite of tools developed by Ultrasis to meet the three pronged approach.

Separately, ULT has recently announced that Kent County Council has placed an order for the provision of Ultrasis' interactive online support programme. This will go live in April and indicates the start of commitment from UK employers and the huge Public Service market in particular.

Furthermore, ULT has presented the National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE) with new evidence of the efficacy of "Beating the Blues". That evidence is currently under review and their revised report on the use of Computerised Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CCBT) within the NHS is expected in Summer 2005. Chances are that it will be favourable based on the increasing knowledge and acceptance of computerised therapies among NHS purchasers prompted by new guidelines for the treatment of depression from NICE. Beating the Blues has now been purchased in multi-license form by two Primary Care Trusts namely; Swindon and West Sussex as well as two substantial pilot projects in the North West and East Midland regions where the new Primary Care Graduate Mental Health Workers will be providing "Beating the Blues" as a service to the regions. ULT's stated strategy is to focus on professional and corporate markets both in the
UK and the US. It believes that other territories should also begin to open up and that the need for its products is clearly demonstrated by its results and will continue to grow.

On a note of caution for investors, to fund this growth, and to provide additional working capital, the directors have said that they are currently considering various strategies for raising additional finance.

ULT says it has now reached a position where its overheads are controlled. The
Board remains confident that there is a vibrant market for the company's products.
