THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

JB,

Suggest you get a more recent history and economics book of the last 75years to read and then somebody to help you understand the changes which have occurred.

Also, you can probably get help for any of you current obsessions.

grannyboy - 14 Apr 2016 09:44 - 70112 of 81564

Apparently Corbyn hasn't told or heard a joke since 1964.....LOL!

Granny,

When you chuck muck around expect to be splattered with it!

You seem pretty mucky to me!

Chris Carson - 14 Apr 2016 09:46 - 70114 of 81564

I suggest you stop grooming Stan, thinking of setting up Save Stan petition. :0)

Fred1new - 14 Apr 2016 09:46 - 70115 of 81564

But the Brexits do look like cats fighting in bag.

Is the money on the Kipper party.

grannyboy - 14 Apr 2016 09:49 - 70116 of 81564

What muck would that be????...I don't frollick in muck..I deal in FACTS!!..Unlike the deceivers and deluded....

grannyboy - 14 Apr 2016 09:59 - 70117 of 81564

Fred go to that twitter link, and seeing as you like cartoons
there's some of your leader...

"But the Brexits do look like cats fighting in a bag"

Unlike the pro eu'er's, the Brexiter's have minds of their own,
are independent and don't like being told what to do from some
unelected, undemocratic enity, and having to pay for the privilege..

Whereas the fawning lying pro eu brigade, are quite happy to deceive
the voting public by pretending to be able to get 'REFORM'S' from that entity......

Don't worry fred's going to start up a soup kitchen from any profits he makes on his capitalist endeavour's.....

-=-=-=-=

Count the no of soup kitchens and Food Banks under the cons over the last 6 years compared with previous periods.

Congratulate yourself!

cynic - 14 Apr 2016 10:30 - 70120 of 81564

goes to show that labour just ignored the needy

VICTIM - 14 Apr 2016 10:31 - 70121 of 81564

I bet you would buy shares in them if you could Freda .

Fred1new - 14 Apr 2016 10:36 - 70122 of 81564

Vivky,

Did you try to buy shares in them.

-====--

Manuel,

With a little help you could be devious!

grannyboy - 14 Apr 2016 10:41 - 70123 of 81564

I'm NOT a Tory.

As to food banks, there are quite a number of food banks and
most people that use them, are in need of them, but there is also
a number who abuse them, ie instead of spending money on FOOD
they'd rather spend their money on ALCOHLOL or DRUGS or GAMBLING.

As to how much the Food banks have grown over the last 6 years,
That's down to their prominence being brought into the publics eye
and the increase in the number of immigrants that use them.

cynic - 14 Apr 2016 10:43 - 70124 of 81564

merely made the obvious observation fred :-)

grannyboy - 14 Apr 2016 10:45 - 70125 of 81564

fred doesn't do the obvious..

Stan - 14 Apr 2016 10:49 - 70126 of 81564

G/B continues to act like a grannyboy.. I thought the kids had gone back.

grannyboy - 14 Apr 2016 10:55 - 70127 of 81564

What is it about the FACTS you don't agree with STAN?

Stan - 14 Apr 2016 11:00 - 70128 of 81564

Not much to with facts and more to do with your attitude towards some other people.

Corbyn a man of principle , lover of the IRA .

-=-==-==

I believe he had talks with the IRA.

Sensible.

Before the relative "armistice" of the present it was due to talking rather than "up and at them".

------

But a heroine of yours "Maggie" in spite of what she was stating at the time was attempting the same.

Use this as a starter!

Margaret Thatcher 'negotiated with IRA'

30 December 2011

From the section Northern Ireland

Margaret Thatcher

Mr Taylor said the files show Margaret Thatcher was involved in negotiations with the IRA
Files just released by the National Archives show Margaret Thatcher took part in negotiations with the IRA during the 1981 Hunger Strikes, BBC investigative journalist Peter Taylor has said.
The contacts took place through an MI6 officer and a secret back-channel to the IRA code-named Soon.
Soon was Londonderry businessman Brendan Duddy.
Mr Taylor said Mrs Thatcher altered by hand one statement sent to the IRA.
"When I read these documents I was astonished," he said.

=-=-=-=-==

If you had watched the development of the "IRA" war from the 1950s on, and the "reasons" being used as "excuses" for "violence" on both sides you may have hope or even advocated "talks".

Fred1new - 14 Apr 2016 11:13 - 70130 of 81564

By the way, Chamberlain had talks with Hitler.

Thatcher with Gorbachev.

Obama with Putin.

etc,.

Unlike you, I don't think they were shouting at each other, at those times.
