THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Cameron's ratings fall, both campaigns level ahead of EU referendum - YouGov

He is being haunted by his U-turns and changes of "mind" or "inconsistencies".

The survey showed that 39 percent of voters backed Britain staying in the 28-member bloc level pegging with the support for withdrawal. Five percent said they would not vote while 17 percent were undecided, the online poll of 1,693 people carried out on April 11-12 found.

The previous YouGov survey, carried out a week ago, had the remain camp on 40 percent and the leave campaign on 38 percent.

The latest survey comes after a difficult week for Cameron who has faced criticism and scrutiny of his personal wealth after he said he had profited from selling shares in an offshore fund set up by his father which had been revealed in the Panama Papers.

That led him to taking the unusual step of publishing a summary of his tax records for the past six years.

PS.

"However, trust in London Mayor Boris Johnson, the flamboyant, popular leading face of the "Out" campaign, has also fallen 8 percentage points to 26 percent, the survey indicated."

My internet is appalling this week , keep losing it .

Can you believe it has already been taking me 14 days to get cash out of TD Direct Investing from a 'trust's trading savings account'. They tell 'us' that it will still take another 10 days for them to effect a transfer into the trust's own properly linked external bank account?

Obviously, this is EXTREMELY WORRYING and it does make me think my trust might well have said 'goodbye' to this money and that TDDI may be in massive financial trouble.

Obviously for the moment, it is pointless trying to sue them or even contact the Financial Ombudsman since they have instructed us to wait 10 more days. But I am considering at least threatening them with the latter as this should cost them a sizeable charge from the Ombudsman for having to deal with the matter.

There are other trustees other than me, including two professional signatories. Even after EVERY single possible trustee has signed TDDI's requested signatory documentation, duly requesting account closure and transfer of funds and which TDDI acknowledged receipt of 8 days ago, they told my most senior professional trustee yesterday, that it will still take another 10 days before the funds transfer is effected.

Ridiculous or wot?

Naturally, I still do have access to the TDDI online account and can see the money is still there ("apparently") in the TDDI Savings account and waiting for the transfer to effect.

Just like me, all the professional trustee has come up with in our contacts with TDDI is very 'trying', 'most peculiar and absurd complication and obfuscation', 'massively complicated and seemingly erroneous and almost unconnected security methodology', 'mis-direction' and 'mis-communication'. Nobody at TDDI seems to know what to do, who is in charge of doing it or can give solid definite information or make solid definite decisions.

The only explanation I can think of, is that they are possibly in massively big financial trouble and are using bluff and obfuscation as delaying tactics to either avoid or delay paying out large sums of cash.

Should we actually get our cash, which is into the '£thousands', then I'll let you know we've got it.

I had thought up until now, that TDDI's systems were pretty good. That is until I tried to take my money out.

Same old, same old. I'm sure you've heard this sort of story before?

Q. Anyone else having any trouble with them?

Q. Anyone got any advice?

By the way - this is nothing to do with being 'over 55' or 'a SIPP'.

Its a shame that Western leaders are being influenced by the
human rights brigade..

Otherwise they could've winged a few of the ILLEGALS as a warning
to stop them believing they can just wander around looking for
the country with the best benefits.

I wonder what the EU plans are for the impending summer invasion
by those immigrants gathering on the Libyan coast??

At the last estimated count there was a couple of million massing..

stan and fred must be getting quite wet at the thought of millions
more immigrants for them to defend from western infidels.
