THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Our right winger has been pathetic all season Stan :-)

grannyboy - 10 May 2016 11:45 - 70875 of 81564

"You Right Wing Muppets get more pathetic by the post"

Its the usual response from the bleeding heart multicultural
lefties who think the UK arn't capable or good enough of managing
or prospering without being tied to an undemocratic, unaccountable, corrupt organisation, which the Labour party should be
deeply ashamed of supporting..

Haystack - 10 May 2016 11:45 - 70876 of 81564

Dil
I thought you were a right winger!

Dil - 10 May 2016 12:13 - 70877 of 81564

I've played every postion Haystack :-)

Stan - 10 May 2016 12:29 - 70878 of 81564

Always thought that being out on that wing rather odd, but no accounting for taste I suppose.

Talking of right wingers Dil, what's your opinion of your bloke Craig Noon? always thought he looked dangerous when he's been brought on. Not sure if a winger or not.

Haystack - 10 May 2016 13:18 - 70879 of 81564

I see that Trump has said that Sadiq Khan will be exempt from his ban on Muslims.

Stan - 10 May 2016 21:13 - 70884 of 81564

Cobblers.. You never turned up last time you Tory chancer.

iturama - 11 May 2016 08:15 - 70885 of 81564

I must admit to be seriously confused.
First we have the transgender man in Iceland that gave birth to a child from "his" boyfriend. He had just started living as a male when he discovered he was pregnant. Forgive my ignorance but weren't they using the wrong hole?
Then we have Obama's department of justice suing States in order to allow men to use the women's toilets. Apparently you are what you feel you are. Chromosomes and genitalia as a means of determining sex are old fashioned in today's age of enlightenment. That will go down well at the Olympics.
Then California is legislating that anyone, regardless of sex, can use public toilets provided there are single cubicles. No peeping under doors or over the top of the cubicle. Doesn't happen in California. They just strangle on hillsides.
Here in Manchester, the Police and PCC have apologised for using the words "Allahu Akhbar" during a mock terrorist drill. Maybe, to avoid offence, the actors should have worn Liverpool shirts and shouted "Holy Klopp!". Islamic terrorism just doesn't happen in Manchester. Figment of the imagination of those nasty Brexiters.
Nice to see the West Ham supporters celebrating leaving Upton Park by blowing bubbles and throwing bottles at the Man U bus and goalkeeper. Pure class.

The worlds gone mad ,proper bonkers .

cynic - 11 May 2016 08:52 - 70887 of 81564

FT reckons Trump could be heading for a landslide in November
if that turns out to be the case, you'ld better hope that, like Ronnie Reagan, he just delivers the speeches that are written by others

MaxK - 11 May 2016 09:00 - 70888 of 81564

I'm sure he's smart enough to know what he doesent know c.

In any case, whats the alternative...Hilly?

Stan - 11 May 2016 10:11 - 70889 of 81564

Your minds get narrower and narrower, have you lot considered euthanasia?

cynic - 11 May 2016 10:14 - 70890 of 81564

at least hillary has political experience
problem is that so many (mid west) americans are so narrow that they would not vote for a woman president but love the idea of six-gun toting loony trump

Dil - 11 May 2016 10:19 - 70891 of 81564

Stan about Noone , has scored some cracking goals and when in Prem ran the Man City defence ragged but he isn't consistent.

Bit of a one trick pony as all he does is cut inside from the right and shoots , can't tackle or defend and I don't think I've ever seen him reach the by line and cross.

Norwich offered 2 million for him last season and we should have taken it.

Stan - 11 May 2016 11:00 - 70892 of 81564

Yeah thought there must have been a snag with him, we had someone called Eagles when Coyle was there, all right on his day but his day rarely came.

Not the sort that would impress Dyche then.

What do you make of your latest managerial changes?

Dil - 11 May 2016 11:32 - 70893 of 81564

Let you know when we find one.

Slade was brought in cos he was cheap and to cut the wage bill and get rid of all the crap Ole bought. To do that and get us within a shout of the play offs with only 2 games to go and having a transfer embargo at same time I suppose he was a success really.

But his football was boring , no plan b when things went wrong and team selection was mystifying at times.

He's been shipped upstairs as Director of football and I expect us to announce Mourinho as manager in the next week or two.
