THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Stan about Noone , has scored some cracking goals and when in Prem ran the Man City defence ragged but he isn't consistent.

Bit of a one trick pony as all he does is cut inside from the right and shoots , can't tackle or defend and I don't think I've ever seen him reach the by line and cross.

Norwich offered 2 million for him last season and we should have taken it.

Stan - 11 May 2016 11:00 - 70892 of 81564

Yeah thought there must have been a snag with him, we had someone called Eagles when Coyle was there, all right on his day but his day rarely came.

Not the sort that would impress Dyche then.

What do you make of your latest managerial changes?

Dil - 11 May 2016 11:32 - 70893 of 81564

Let you know when we find one.

Slade was brought in cos he was cheap and to cut the wage bill and get rid of all the crap Ole bought. To do that and get us within a shout of the play offs with only 2 games to go and having a transfer embargo at same time I suppose he was a success really.

But his football was boring , no plan b when things went wrong and team selection was mystifying at times.

He's been shipped upstairs as Director of football and I expect us to announce Mourinho as manager in the next week or two.

Dil - 11 May 2016 11:34 - 70894 of 81564

... followed by the signing of local boys Bale and Ramsey with Messi and Ronaldo to follow shortly after on free transfers :-)

Fred1new - 11 May 2016 11:36 - 70895 of 81564

The tone of this thread is dropping.

Too much football.

8-)

cynic - 11 May 2016 11:48 - 70896 of 81564

looks more like total boredom

Stan - 11 May 2016 12:24 - 70897 of 81564

That's funny was just thinking "this Thread seems on the up" -):

Who ever you get Dil don't get Cotterill as he will be a Slade Mk2!

KidA - 11 May 2016 13:54 - 70898 of 81564

iturama,

Should've shouted Admiral Ackbar, then again it may have offended some Jedi and other Star Wars fanatics.

Cheers,

KidA

LOL !! KidA

iturama - 11 May 2016 14:14 - 70900 of 81564

I suspect that the people offended, if there are any, were white liberals that are looking for any excuse to show off their saintly credentials. The sorry part of it was that the PCC didn't have the balls to say right out that of course the police are training against a Islamic terrorist attack such as those in Mumbai and Paris. That's where the threat is, that's why it was as realistic as possible. Period.

Fred1new - 11 May 2016 14:20 - 70901 of 81564

Not a possible IRA, PIRA, RIRA, etc..

Personally, think "all" have the right to object, but at the same time think it b, daft of them doing so.

cynic - 11 May 2016 14:24 - 70902 of 81564

they can count themselves very lucky that they have a right to object, though the logic for so doing was pretty ridiculous

Fred1new - 11 May 2016 14:26 - 70903 of 81564

Change "they" to "we".

cynic - 11 May 2016 14:40 - 70904 of 81564

"they" is almost certainly correct, as i suspect the objectors were (relatively) recent immigrants ..... of course i could easily be wrong and find they were all millwall supporters of old

Haystack - 11 May 2016 15:24 - 70905 of 81564

There is a hard left petition to get the BBC to sack their political editor Laura Kuenssberg and Andrew Neil for criticising Labour and Corbyn after the recent election.

However, there is another petition asking the BBC to praise her for her unbiased coverage. Please sign it and share with friends.

Stan - 11 May 2016 15:44 - 70906 of 81564

.. And who's behind the so called "change mob" when there at home?

Haystack - 11 May 2016 15:55 - 70907 of 81564

Mainly left wing petitions.

Stan - 11 May 2016 16:01 - 70908 of 81564

So in your biased opinion you are advising voting for a LW petition.

Haystack - 11 May 2016 16:06 - 70909 of 81564

No. That one is a right wing petition. There a few
