THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

TANKER - 13 May 2016 13:45 - 70996 of 81564

jimmy b - 13 May 2016 13:48 - 70997 of 81564

All the roads i travel on are rubbish, full of holes and any country lanes are now green lanes ,meaning farm tracks .
The Germans must be laughing at us ,their roads are like snooker tables .

jimmy b - 13 May 2016 13:50 - 70999 of 81564

Cameron and his buddy Osbourne make me laugh how they have turned this country around ,it's total shit.

No if's no but's i will reduce immigration to 10's of thousands . Then you tell us 900 000 came and we find out you were lying it's 2.5 million.

TANKER - 13 May 2016 13:52 - 71000 of 81564

WILL . ARE YOU DEAF AND BLIND or just desperate or just a selfish person

Office for National Statistics Sept 2015

The majority of the UK’s motor vehicle imports are from the EU, consistently accounting for over 85% of total motor vehicle imports each year since 1998. Imports from the EU have grown from £14.3 billion to £31.3 billion between 1998 and 2014, whereas imports from non-EU countries have grown from £2.2 billion to £4.0 billion over the same period.

International Trade in Motor Cars

In 1998, a broadly similar composition to imports existed for UK exports; exports of motors vehicles to the EU accounted for three quarters of total motor vehicle exports. This has changed noticeably, with exports to non-EU countries growing at a faster rate than exports to EU countries. Consequently, the share of total motor vehicle manufacturing exports to the EU has fallen to 40%. Exports to non-EU countries have grown from £2.9 billion to £17.9 billion from 1998 to 2014, whereas exports to EU countries have grown from £8.0 billion to £11.9 billion over the same period.

Looking at the 2011 exports of motor cars by the individual Member States, Germany alone was responsible for well over half (60 %) of the EU total. The United Kingdom, ranking second, registered about a fifth of the German export value with a share of 13 %.

Now it doesn't take a brain surgeon to see who would suffer most in a car trade war after we have broken off the shackles. But don't worry, it will never happen. Germany has too much to lose and Japan a heck of a lot to gain.
Vote out - you know it makes sense.

The new mayor of London Sadiq Kahn has made his first major policy announcement, unveiling plans to substantially increase the size of London’s clean air charging zone to tackle the capital’s illegal air pollution levels.

The Ultra Low Emissions Zone (ULEZ) - which could also now come into force earlier than planned - will require drivers of the 2.5m oldest and dirtiest vehicles to pay a charge.

It is intended to act as an incentive to drivers to use cleaner vehicles or alternative transport to reduce the levels of nitrogen dioxide, a toxic gas produced by diesel vehicles.
this is very good news make it illeagal to drive a diesel car in cities

Check your figures. The nett payment is a lot less than 350 million a week. We have been over this before.
Where is your 8 million migrants figure come from. Do you acknowledge any benefits from having migrants here?? We do need a few to work on the NHS. Etc
How about putting some more money into the NHS. We are short 5 thousand doctors, maybe the extra doctors might help.
Pot holes in your road ....see your local councillor. EU funded roads do not have pot holes.
What happened to British Leyland?? Japanese investment WAS because we had access to the single market.
My current housing project is 21 retirement flats in the suburbs of Bristol on the site of an old petrol station 40% sold. All to over 65's. I don't rip buyer's off.
Not like that fuckwit hero of yours the Donald Trump.
.

TANKER - 13 May 2016 14:26 - 71005 of 81564

will if did not have 8 m migrants we would not need to employ more doctors nurses
that is all bullshit .
did you no that over 150000 put in to be nurses last year and the gov said only 45000 could be trained dam disgrace HUNT SAID IT WAS CHEAPER TO BRING IN TRAINED NURSES FROM THE EU dam disgrace

TANKER - 13 May 2016 14:30 - 71006 of 81564

WILL , their are now more no go areas in the uk than in any other country fact .
setting up their own communities , not speaking English .
ghettoes and crime ridden hell holes .

jimmy b - 13 May 2016 14:35 - 71008 of 81564

will's for staying in TANKER ,he see's the EU as good ,which is why he has an answer for everything (simple answers) such as

Pot holes in your road ....see your local councillor. EU funded roads do not have pot holes.

However what about the 2.5 million who have arrived ? since 2011 that's a fact is that good?
No we are in serious trouble ,some people can't see it now but they will in the next few years .

grannyboy - 13 May 2016 14:38 - 71009 of 81564

The 'money' that the EU so kindly uses to enhance our road network,
IS OUR MONEY its part of the rebate that we get back, but only on
what the EU says we use it on, usually something that has room for
a massive bill board saying the development being funded by the EU...
BUT WITH OUR MONEY!!!

As to the need of immigrants to run the NHS..Only because immigrants
are the biggest beneficiaries due to their relentless influx and health tourism....

cynic - 13 May 2016 14:38 - 71010 of 81564

calm down chaps :-)

there is no question that with or without a sensible number of immigrants - yes they are needed to some degree - there is a serious shortage of all sorts of skilled professionals

where the system currently falls down is that there is no filtering allowed, and any eu citizen can nip across the channel and work the system, legally or otherwise

jimmy b - 13 May 2016 14:39 - 71011 of 81564

That's old news cynic !
get involved !

TANKER - 13 May 2016 14:42 - 71012 of 81564

75000 operations cancelled in the nhs this year the nhs over run by migrants using A/E read the facts .

worst figures in a decade . the uk is doing very well in the EU if we are doing so great being a party of the EU ,
