I know there is a joint Computer solving thread but the few Apple questions on there do sometimes get missed, so thought that I would set up a dedicated one for the Mac.
...Bye the way I am quite Computer illiterate apart from what I have picked up...so no point In asking me much -):
Ian,
I wonder If you could make this thread available on the Investors side as well please?

Not that we can't do the things that this clean-up piece of software provides, but it just keeps it in one place and will serve as a reminder (to me) to do some regular cleaning and not wait until the thing starts to get slower and slower.
Question is, are they a genuine outfit, and has anyone installed and run it please?

Flush DNS Cache, Crikey! doing that speeds things up when everything else has been cleaned.

I'm attempting to download the "Firefox Software Update" for Browser31, I then get a box saying "connecting to update server" and looks like its streaming but has been doing so for about an hour.
Question is? Is that usual that it takes so long or has it frozen.
I restarted the computer and am currently doing the same thing again.. with no difference.

Stan,
I'm on OSX 10.6.8 and did a Firefox update the other day - About Firefox shows 31.0, it took less than 5 minutes.
Cheers,
KidA

I've reset the browser but still no joy, sticking with the present one of 28 unless anyone has any ideas.

Hi Stan, sorry for the late reply! I am using my old MacBook Pro today, I downloaded Mojave on my newer one yesterday and it no longer works! A trip to Apple Liverpool is now the only answer by the looks of it!

Not yet Stan, haven't had the chance but hope to be able to do so later in the week. I'll post when it is fixed (or binned!).

fwiw - I've just prepared a mac book for passing onwards - after reformatting the OS download was mojave. No problems here at all.
PS - followed the instructions on deleting/new set up but had a moment when the macbook threw up error messages. The one instruction missing is that you must connect via ethernet to your router as you've just deleted your wireless connection - obvious when I stopped to think but I might save someone an anxious moment.
