Galleon Holdings (GON)

banjomick - 15 Jun 2004 08:48

INTELLIGENT INVESTING WITH BANJO,well sort of! (Ed-hmmmm-lol)

Galleon Holdings plc has three key divisions:Galleon Entertainment for entertainment type IP,Croco Worldwide for product IP,Phoenix for interactive TV services for broadcasters in China/South East Asia which includes Robot Information Technology (Lushy Assets ('Yunbo')) who are a wireless interactive platform service provider in China who will work alongside Phoenix to enable GON to hold on to a greater part of the generated revenue and so increase the profit margin......think that's the plan! :-)

This makes Galleon Holdings a 'One Stop Shop' to develop and complete new and existing IP's.

Being a long long long term holder I have seen these Trade Show events come and go-lol

Earlier this year we saw positive announcements from Trade Shows (which is a first) regarding Skunk Fu of which we are now seeing the results with Skunk Fu in the middle of being a global IP,premiering in the USA today!
The Brands Licensing Show is going to be one if not the most important events in GON's history in my opinion.Skunk Fu is almost global and Brands Licensing is perfect timing to gain deals for both the manufacturing under license and selling of Skunk merchandise. Also it gives the opportunity to introduce our own IP's to the buyers and sellers attending and then followed by MIPCOM............so,the next few weeks are very important for GON,I think they will do greeeeeeeat!

News on Skunk Fu slowly filtering through :-)

"Skunk Fu! (The Art of Stickiness / The Art of Rivalry) - Out of all the new shows on Kids' WB!, I think this one has to be my favorite. I think the flash animation is just brilliant. The theme song is catchy and the characters are all unique and funny. This is definately one show that I'll try and catch every Saturday morning."

If the chart is anything to go by then with a bit of positive news from the two Trade Shows then..................hmmmm,I would like to say 50p but all depends on news and maybe some further insight into GON's actual revenue, maybe?

And just for balance if there is no news from either Trade Show then GON will dive to sub 20p-imo.

With Skunk Fu alone being just about global and with GON holding the world (except Germany) licensing/merchandising rights they can't fail.................imo.

The Hardman and Co September report was released today and a big disappointment regarding content or lack of!

http://www.hardmanandco.com/Research/monthly/September_07_Monthly.pdf

They have been known to update previously released reports so I expect this to happen for Septembers.........

Below is a list from April 2007 to todays for both information and a sort of 'spot what they've missed' type game :-)

H&C April 2007

GALLEON (SP=13.5)

It is interesting time for Galleon with a number of announcements this month.
We were extremely glad to see that Sokator-442, the football based animation
series, has received offers from broadcasters in Germany and Australia.
Sokator-442 seems to have been a little slower to take off than Apollos Pad or Skunk-Fu! but at last it is getting there, giving Galleon Entertainment three properties ready for development.

MIPTV is being held in Cannes and Galleon is marketing Sokator-442 and
the music-based animation Apollos Pad actively.
Galleon is already well on track with its IP properties and a good MIPTV could
improve their potential considerably.Separately, Galleon announced a new EUR 700k order for its in-pack premium business, Croco. It will be
providing the Blasterz toy for Pepsico in two additional territories. Croco has done well to build on its existing contracts in addition to winning new business and its high level of sales gives us confidence in our forecasts
for this side of the business.
The shares responded quickly to the announcements.Having drifted down towards
8p in a period with little newsflow, they have now moved up to 13.5p.

H&C May 2007

GALLEON (SP=11.8)

Pepsico has placed a E0.3m reorder for the toy IP Blasterz.
Chief Executive Stephen Green suggests that this could indicate
long term sustainable revenues from the product, as territories
re-use the IP for other promotions.

H&C June 2007

GALLEON (SP=14p)

Interim results just announced show Galleon is making good progress.
Turnover has increased from just 743k to 2.4m, and operating losses have been
nearly halved.
It's not the numbers that are important though, but the progress the company has made with its business.
Croco, the in-pack premiums business, has gone fromstrength to strength,
contributing the majority oft he company's turnover.

Meanwhile Galleon Entertainment has made progress in developing its IP
portfolio; animation Skunk Fu! is now being aired in Australia, and the second
half of the year will see music and animation product Apollo's Pad go live, and
Sokator-442 going into production.

We have also seen today the announcement of a major new contract from PepsiCo
for a new in-pack premium product from Croco. This gives Croco a third product
next to the highly successful Blasterz (which has generated over 3m sales)
and recently launched EPIX.

We maintain our estimates for this year and next. The market seemed to like the
results, with the shares rising 11% in early trading.

H&C July 2007

GALLEON (SP=17.5p)

The rights to market Blasterz IP in the UK, France,Germany and Italy through
retail channels have been licensed to Topps, a global creator and marketer. This is the first retail deal for Blasterz and directors talk of
there being tremendous potential in the retail market.

Topps is a specialist in the distribution of pocket money entertainment
products. The deal does not involve a fixed financial sum,but is dependent upon sales.
Galleon continues to supply Pepsico and other companies with Blasterz for use in promotions. To date, 175 million Blasterz have been placed across ten markets
The shares reached a new high on the news.

H&C September 2007

GALLEON (SP=29p)

Galleons share price remains strong as the company continues to put out positive news flow. This month saw a Pepsico double the size of its
original EUR 1m order with Croco for Blasterz, taking the product for a new territory.

Nicked from the 'Dark Side'

Indiantelevision.com Team

(25 September 2007 3:26 pm)

MUMBAI: Galleon Entertainment, the UK-based intellectual property owner, developer and manager, is taking its all-new repositioned multiplatform animated comedy adventure series, Sokator-442 to Mipcom 2007.

The 26 x half hours animated soccer adventure series is available to international buyers at this year's market for online, mobile and TV broadcast deals, it was announced by Galleon Holdings plc CEO Stephen Green.

"Sokator-442 is poised to become the next soccer YouTube for Kids," said Green. "This is a unique opportunity to create a global online community for children that is safe and teach them about soccer in a fun and engaging way."

Sokator-442 is a multiplatform animated comedy adventure TV series aimed at boys and girls aged 6-11. The show has an online website where kids can upload their soccer skills footage and compare it with other kids from around the globe.

Galleon Holdings plc MD Len Dunne added,"Sokator-442 at its heart has an amazing fantasy that we are bringing to life through an animated TV series combined with a content-rich online site and outreach programme. We have applied our learning from Apollo's Pad, our multiplatform young adult music meets comedy property that we developed with Sony BMG, to Sokator-442 and the results are blowaway."

Sokator-442 (26 x half hours) follows the adventures of a brother and sister from earth who are transported to Sokator-442, a planet where ancient forms of soccer are played and used to settle differences between species. The siblings have to unite a team of alien misfits to compete against the master teams to save their homeland from destruction.

The multiplatform animated property was created by Len Dunne and Stephen Green of Galleon Entertainment. It is being produced by UK-based Zoo Films whose production team's credits include 101 Dalmatians, Family Guy, Rugrats, The Wild Thornberrys. The art direction is supervised by Canada-based Copernicus Studios while Bob Thompson of London-based Good Story Productions.

banjomick - 27 Sep 2007 09:53 - 722 of 1609

So,next week sees the start of Brands Licensing in London, followed by MIP Junior with the main MIPCOM Trade Show directly afterwards (France-Cannes).

banjomick - 27 Sep 2007 10:03 - 723 of 1609

Skunk Fu is being shown in USA,UK and Australia with airings in the rest of Europe and most of world over the next few months. There is still the second series of 26 episodes which I believe are already completed and ready for airing!
My view is that Brands will produce major contracts for Skunk Fu merchandise-dyor

banjomick - 27 Sep 2007 10:37 - 724 of 1609

The article above (post 721) although not official does clearly state that production is underway opposed to awaiting further backing-"It is being produced by UK-based Zoo Films"
I would expect news/updates during and after the three trade shows relating to Sokator-442 being aired around the world along with deals done relating to other 'platforms' as this is a 360' IP!

banjomick - 27 Sep 2007 10:43 - 725 of 1609

Apollo's Pad project is another 360' IP which is being launched on the 8th October, the same day as the main MIPCOM event!
Obviously there will be news from GON as we near launch date and I would imagine during/after the Trade Shows is a fair bet.

All in my humbly opinion so do your own research
All good fun :-)

banjomick - 27 Sep 2007 12:18 - 726 of 1609

A very interesting 'x' trade just shown up,a very good sign methinks :-)

Toya - 27 Sep 2007 12:35 - 727 of 1609

Wow that's a nice one!

banjomick - 27 Sep 2007 12:56 - 728 of 1609

Why thank you,Toya :-)

Should see some steady buying now......famous last words-lol

banjomick - 27 Sep 2007 13:14 - 729 of 1609

Ohhhh and I nearly forgot Mysti!

GON received 265k up-front payment from Cutstone Feature Productions with a further 500k once in production with GON also picking up 15% of net profits......which is nice! Still a bit to go with this one but there will be murchandising opportunities too!
