THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

I was in support of the action at the time. Let's not forget the invasion and burning of Kuwait. Afterwards, when the northern and southern no-fly zones were created, Saddam insisted on lighting up our aircraft with his radar and other sabre rattling. It couldn't go on even if there was an element of Don Quixote in his bravado.
The mistakes were allowing a Shia government to be formed and the US electing a dipstick as president.

Yes iturama and giving the dipstick Trillions of dollars that was later given to ISIS and thieved by Maliki , who is now in Iran .

Yes you would think they would get a Manager who would court less controversy after the last two .

VICTIM - 24 May 2016 08:23 - 71274 of 81564

Fred1new - 24 May 2016 08:44 - 71276 of 81564

Vicky,

Read into the cartoon what you wish!

I think your last statement is an inversion of positions.

However, I wonder sometimes if Dumbo is projecting his own fears.

jimmy b - 24 May 2016 08:46 - 71277 of 81564

Fred i'm not an old depressed drunk ,sorry.

jimmy b - 24 May 2016 08:48 - 71278 of 81564

I went to a recording of QI this afternoon. There was Frankie Boyle, Ross Noble, Lucy Porter, Alan Davies and Sandy Toksvig instead of Steven Fry. It took about 2 hours to record the quiz. They edit it down later. It was at the London Studios on the Southbank between Waterloo and Blackfriars. It was very entertaining including plenty of stuff they couldn't broadcast.

Fred1new - 25 May 2016 07:57 - 71282 of 81564

Where are you going to-day?

Fred1new - 25 May 2016 08:00 - 71283 of 81564
