and there's five hundred vacancies being advertised.

They've had over 3,500 applicants, so far!...

When you hear the government spouting about how many job vacancies
are going unfilled in the UK, take it with a LARGE dose of salt...

And that goes for the rest of their dodgy numbers..

The last time a big store advertised around here (new morrisons) they had a thousand applications for the 100 jobs on offer on the first day, and had to close the books.

The applicants thought they were applying for Food Bank membership!

But this is a "democracy" compared with Brussels and the governments figures are always reliable.

Perhaps, distorted in their favour would be more appropriate.

The German Parliament has approved a resolution that the mass killing of Armenians by the Ottoman Turks in 1915 was a genocide. Erdogan was bitterly opposed to the resolution and there are rumours of the Turkish Ambassador being withdrawn.
Fairly typical of Erdogan who appears more sensitive to criticism than the Donald.
A perfect storm may be brewing if Turkey decides to open the flood gates in retaliation and allow all migrants to move north.
