don't care why the drop ..... more to the point is the short term prognostication .... my guess is consolidation at best; fairly significant fall likely

I am not at all comfortable with the tenor of post 715 .Although one normally eschews the use of multi syllable words one finds it patronising, pretentious, and indeed arrogant.

that's your prob, not mine ..... my prognostication (assume you understand that polysyllabic word, though prob does not appear The Sun) may be right or it may be wrong, but that's the way i see it

Subject : 答复: (瑞星提示-此邮件可能是垃圾邮件)Trading Update question
Dear Alex,
Thanks for your note and sorry for the confusion.
As you may be aware, most of our 24 wire saws started operations only
recently. Breakage rate that is higher than expected results from a number
of factors: 1. learning curve for saw workers; 2. We're pushing for thinner
wafer at 200 microns. Industry norm is that thinner the wafer, higher the
breakage rate. If you check around with any wafer manufacturer, you would
find that it's normal to have an initial higher breakage rate when wafer
thickness approaches 200 micron. With a thinner wafer, profitability should
be improved due to more number of wafers to be sliced from one kilo of ingot
without sacrificing on conversion rate of a wafer. Initial higher breakage
rate has a temporary negative impact on output. This is a short term pain
for the sake of long term gain.3. much more strict quality control measures
are put in place. Our product quality is well recognized in the market and
is well received by our customers including international major cell
manufacturers like BP Solar, Motch and Suntech.
The issue is being dealt with and progress has been made as stated in the
trading update. We are working hard to resolve this and the breakage rate is
coming down. While we are making good progress, we expect that this would be
all resolved in a month or so.
Hope above clarifies.

forti .... i am delighted to have banked a fat profit, just as i have with CSR and SHP and POG and a couple of others last week ..... both SHP and POG (especially) have gone further ahead, but so what?
Using your logic (perhaps not quite fairly) one should not have banked a profit with VOG when they were just short of a natural resistance of 200 and heading north ..... you would have chortled gleefuly as they increased a further 25% to about 250 ....... but you would quickly have ended up being well roasted as they crashed out of favour.
SOLA may well have much much further to travel, and it is not unlikely that i will be tempted back in, either after a sharp correction (badly overdue i feel) or perhaps when a bit higher again because that correction did not occur .... i could easily regret the latter course of action!
by the way, there is no call at all to shout!

looks as though Cynic has missed several boats this morning (SOLA, VML etc), but never mind ...... am already pretty extended and portfolio has certainly done well enough this morning.
