Please report bugs and enhancements (BUGS)

andy.lovell - 04 Nov 2002 11:26

If you're having any problems, or want to suggest some improvements, please post below!

Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.

The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.

This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)

If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

Me thinks, same for all. No doubt we will soon find out why.
Lets hope 2008 brings some improvement to service.

greekman - 20 Dec 2007 16:13 - 7172 of 7315

Ok now. Blimmey that was quick work. Thanks

Ian/ Bullshare,

What has changed all of a sudden Is that instead of taking the "opening" price to add the change in exchange price too, they are now taking the night before's "closing" price as the starting price and then adding the current days moves to that.

Wednesday ISF finished at 610.

http://www.moneyam.com/stockwatch

Today the footsie finished up just under 1% yet ISF finished up over 4%! all because they have changed their way of calculation.

LSE not concerned, and say that this Is set by the Market Makers. I have queued this with iShares and await a reply.

The main reason I noticed this is because I include and use the ISF epic in all my different stockwatch lists as a bellweather to give me the "realtime" price of the footsie 100 as opposed to the normal 15 minutes delayed price. I can no longer do this If they keep this up.

End of mystery but not happy about It and still want some answers from them.

Stan; We have always operated on last nights close + or - current price , our systems are not set up for opening price + or - current price

Mike

Stan - 21 Dec 2007 10:12 - 7175 of 7315

Thanks Mike,

For about the last 4 or 5 years ISF has tracked the Fts100 accurately as they claim.

Yesterday (and for the near past) ISF did not track the Fts100 accurately (or near as damn It) as they claim. ie Fts100 finished up under 1%. ISF up over 4%.

Today ISF tracking Fts100 accurately, again (near as damn it).

So back too normal (today).. coincidently after a lone private Investor raises the point on a bulletin board and speaks to the LSE -):

Stan.

greekman - 28 Dec 2007 14:40 - 7179 of 7315

Hope you had a good Xmas and are fully awake and raring to go.

No details appear when I try to access the Trade Analysis Screen
Market Maker to Market Maker shows blank as does Extended Settlement Trades.

Any idea why.

Greek

IanT(MoneyAM) - 28 Dec 2007 14:44 - 7180 of 7315

greek,

Thanks and hope you had a good xmas as well - the issue you have raised is a known issue and being worked on.

Ian

Thanks Ian,

It rang a small bell somewhere but couldn't find it previously mentioned.

Cheers Greek.

Happy New Year y'all! I hope you have the best yet.

I can't access news items or quotes from the stockwatch page; if this is a known item I apologize, recovering from 'flu so head is full of cotton wool!

Steve

IanT(MoneyAM) - 02 Jan 2008 10:56 - 7183 of 7315

Steve,

if nothing is happening when you are trying to access them, then this is consistent with a pop up blocker becoming enabled on your machine. These buttons work as pop ups, so you will need to have your pop up blockers either disabled or configured to allow this.

Ian

kimoldfield - 02 Jan 2008 11:07 - 7184 of 7315

Cheers Ian! Like I said, head full of cotton wool, would normally have twigged that!! All ok now.

NabCom - 02 Jan 2008 11:25 - 7185 of 7315

Steve

I had the same problem recently using Safari pretty sure I didn't have to have the pop-up blocker off previously and short of changing browser it is a nuisance.
Not saying anything has changed here as same is occurring at ADVFN but maybe it has in the browser in the browser or maybe my head is full of cotton wool too.
Just out of curiosity which browser are you using?

kimoldfield - 02 Jan 2008 11:41 - 7186 of 7315

Safari NabCom, I don't know why but sometimes it blocks pop ups without me authorizing it to, although this usually occurs after a software update; I had forgotten that I did one recently.

NabCom - 02 Jan 2008 11:51 - 7187 of 7315

Steve

Thought so, I am using Safari too, I am pretty certain now that the behaviour of the pop-up blocker changed in the last security update and that it shouldn't be necessary to deselect it as it should only block when pages load or unload not on user chosen clicks e.g. charts, trades etc.

Thanks
