THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

They're an EU wide phenomenon except in Greece or Spain Etc, where
there are very few jobs for anyone, they're not real jobs they just help
the governments when its time to put out the jobless rate, anyone who
has a mortgage or wishes to get one couldn't, the same if you rent...

And to say that 85% are in these sort of con jobs and that they LIKE them
is deceiving at the highest level.

The only ones to benefit are Students or those that feel like working now and
then....

Anyone who has a job now that does not require any special skills will mainly be automated out of work in the near future. As a result casual work will rise as will unemployment. Thirty years ago or more there was a fantasy put about that there would be a future of decreasing working hours with some people not having to work. There would be lots of things to do in the increasing leisure time. There was a major flaw in this vision. Who would pay for it all? The future is bleak regarding work. Many businesses rely on zero hours and would be marginally viable without it. The ability to employ staff when needed will increase.

The only solution for a given country such as the UK is business success and fuller employment. They produces an environment where workers are in demand and permanent jobs are on offer. The only source of money to spend on public services, roads etc is taxation on successful businesses.

If So then why are we allowing so many immigrants to not only come
to the UK, but Europe in general?

Its all a recipe for disaster..Or is your post a contradiction in facts?..

Haystack - 18 Jun 2016 14:20 - 71722 of 81564

The only solution is booming business and then we may need the immigrants. Personally, I would wait until we need them to let them in. However boom is followed by bust. Then we would have too many people here as we did in the last recession. That is why immigration became such a dominant topic.

People need to be educated into the fact, that they will never become wealthy if they nail their income to 'time' related methods of earning money.

An annual salary puts an annual ceiling on income.
Hourly rates also put a ceiling on weekly/monthly/annual income.

The best way to become wealthy is to buy and sell things and make a profit from the sale. Time doesn't limit the profit ceiling.

Haystack - 18 Jun 2016 21:30 - 71724 of 81564

The problem is for the average person. They aren't going to sell anything except their time. There are too many people for everyone or even a large proportion to sell things.

MaxK - 18 Jun 2016 23:20 - 71725 of 81564

So, take away the time element, and what are people going to do for a crust?

this prototype is old hat, but you get the picture.

Jo Cox was an example of all that is best in the British.

England tonight no rooney hope we get beat

iturama - 20 Jun 2016 09:30 - 71735 of 81564

I thought you were Welsh Tanker. That comment about Jo Cox was totally unnecessary and shameful. I had never heard of her before her senseless murder but she was just doing her job. She had the right to her opinion, just as you have yours. Ease up man, its politics. Each person has one vote in this referendum, so your vote has the same weight as an a stayer MP.

TANKER - 20 Jun 2016 09:54 - 71736 of 81564

iturama . you are correct we all have our views and should keep them to our selves
as an mp they should keep their personal views on religion to them selves

funny how these so called caring mps never fight for the poor and homeless

will10 - 20 Jun 2016 10:07 - 71737 of 81564

Tanker

Jo Cox MP had a record of fighting for the poor and homeless.

TANKER - 20 Jun 2016 10:12 - 71738 of 81564
