THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

iturama . you are correct we all have our views and should keep them to our selves
as an mp they should keep their personal views on religion to them selves

funny how these so called caring mps never fight for the poor and homeless

will10 - 20 Jun 2016 10:07 - 71737 of 81564

Tanker

Jo Cox MP had a record of fighting for the poor and homeless.

TANKER - 20 Jun 2016 10:12 - 71738 of 81564

that is totally wrong read what the unemployed and homeless
locals say

2517GEORGE - 20 Jun 2016 10:15 - 71739 of 81564

How history repeats itself.

In 2003 just 4 days before the Swedish referendum on joining the Eurozone, a prominent pro-Euro MP, Anna Lindh, was stabbed to death in a public place. The man later convicted, claimed to have no idea why he had done it.

Bit like us voting in all those years ago , we have no idea why we did it .

2517GEORGE - 20 Jun 2016 10:23 - 71741 of 81564

I was thinking more along the lines of coincidence or sinister undertones.

Don't worry about Azerbaijan having one of the most repressive governments with the country under the strangle hold of one family. It is a Kleptocracy.

Fred1new - 20 Jun 2016 12:32 - 71743 of 81564

Do you mean like a party of Kleptomaniac Tories!

If this is correct then it is frightening.

America’s most respected Islamic leaders and scholars want theocracy, not democracy, and even advocate trading the Constitution for the Quran.

These aren’t fringe players. These are the top officials representing the Muslim establishment in America today.

Hopefully none of them ever runs for president, because here’s what he’d have to say about the U.S. system of government:

Muzammil Siddiqi, chairman of both the Fiqh Council of North America, which dispenses Islamic rulings, and the North American Islamic Trust, which owns most of the mosques in the U.S.: “As Muslims, we should participate in the system to safeguard our interests and try to bring gradual change, (but) we must not forget that Allah’s rules have to be established in all lands, and all our efforts should lead to that direction.

”Omar Ahmad, co-founder of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, the top Muslim lobby group in Washington: “Islam isn’t in America to be equal to any other faith, but to become dominant. The Quran should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on Earth.

”CAIR spokesman Ibrahim Hooper: “I wouldn’t want to create the impression that I wouldn’t like the government of the United States to be Islamic sometime in the future.

”Imam Siraj Wahhaj, director of the Muslim Alliance in North America: “In time, this so-called democracy will crumble, and there will be nothing. And the only thing that will remain will be Islam.

”Imam Zaid Shakir, co-founder of Zaytuna College in Berkeley, Calif.: “If we put a nationwide infrastructure in place and marshaled our resources, we’d take over this country in a very short time... What a great victory it will be for Islam to have this country in the fold and ranks of the Muslims.”...

This very similar to Muslim leaders in this country. It should not be a surprise as the application of Sharia law is fundamental to their religion. However, it should not worry us as it is not going to happen in Western countries. You have to remember also that the Muslim identity is being diluted here as the younger members are exposed to Western culture.

Fred1new - 20 Jun 2016 13:59 - 71746 of 81564

2517,

It is a disgrace:

As Tories, we should participate in the system to safeguard our interests and try to bring gradual change, (but) we must not forget self-interest rules and all our efforts should lead to that direction.

Fred1new - 20 Jun 2016 14:00 - 71747 of 81564

I do hope he finds the right medication!

VICTIM - 20 Jun 2016 14:59 - 71748 of 81564

Well Hays again your a funny one , you want Britain run by total Conservatism , you don't like this or you don't like him , because they aren't Conservatives . Y

VICTIM - 20 Jun 2016 15:04 - 71749 of 81564

Your so fickle you don't mind staying in because you think it's the end of UKIP and more to the point Farage . When EU start to throw their weight around and people start seeing the results it will be too late .

Haystack - 20 Jun 2016 15:07 - 71750 of 81564

I just don't like Farage and his party. He is a destructive influence.

I would prefer to leave, but a consolation prize would be the fall of UKIP.

TANKER - 20 Jun 2016 15:14 - 71751 of 81564

VICTIM - 20 Jun 2016 15:18 - 71753 of 81564

But it's alright for Dave to throw out endless dubious warnings to people ad nauseum . Which will result in this Nation paying for the rest of time .

Haystack - 20 Jun 2016 15:22 - 71754 of 81564

Cameron won't step down after the referendum.

There is a letter doing the rounds among senior Tories. It suggests that Cameron stays no matter what the referendum result is. It has already been agreed by most of the leave and remain campaigners and Gove, Boris etc are going to sign it. It is intended to stop a leadership challenge and show that a challenge won't get the necessary 50 signatures. The aim is to make sure that the Tories unite as a party irrespective of the result.

TANKER - 20 Jun 2016 15:30 - 71755 of 81564

hay its to late Cameron is going in 18 months fact just remember I told you to take up is roll in the eu ,on twice is salary .
as for the party they will lose the next election . would sooner now vote for corbyn at least he is honest unlike Cameron the liar
