THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

when the vote is in then all the lies of the in campaign come out and the young can not get jobs no homes to buy or rent because of cost they will kick out big time and I would support their actions because action is the only answer in the end .
Cameron the liar will be in is new job milking the system . and you will find no mp who voted to stay in . they will all vanish into thin air .

because rest assure they have lied on all counts scare tactics

What a load of rubbish the REMAIN camp and their EU cohorts are spouting about how we will suffer if we vote LEAVE. We are not alone in wanting out of the EU, millions of Europeans want out as well and they will also demand referendums. To think that like minded Europeans will not trade with us in future is laughable.

We are spending the money in relation to the deal where Turkey would take back immigrants. The offer in exchange is that Turks with special passports could travel visa fee to the Schengen area and NOT to the UK. Even that deal is only for tourism. They won't be allowed to work in the EU.

MaxK - 21 Jun 2016 14:37 - 71792 of 81564

I think remain will win.

imo, they have scared enough older people (who really should know better) into going for remain, and the young are so thick they cant see anything else.

Hope not, but the game is loaded.

TANKER - 21 Jun 2016 14:38 - 71793 of 81564

the uk is not in the SCHENGEN AREA

TANKER - 21 Jun 2016 14:38 - 71794 of 81564

the uk is not in the SCHENGEN AREA . so why is the uk putting money in if it does not affect the uk you fool

TANKER - 21 Jun 2016 14:41 - 71795 of 81564

after the 23rd the uk voters are going to wake up to the biggest CON of all time

TANKER - 21 Jun 2016 14:46 - 71796 of 81564

I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO THE FALL OUT its going to be nasty for the young and the over 50 who will lose jobs to migrants and never work again a life of poverty is on the way for these people .

I will just smile when I pass them on the street and say you voted for poverty

grannyboy - 21 Jun 2016 14:47 - 71797 of 81564

The uk has allocated 1.8 billion pounds to help FAST TRACK the assession
of 5 countries including Turkey.

2517GEORGE - 21 Jun 2016 14:51 - 71798 of 81564

Yes you may well be right T but I've not given up hope, so many people I speak to are for LEAVE. If it is REMAIN then so be it, but I reckon UKIP support will rocket once the deception is outed.

George yes it could turn out to be great news .

Haystack - 21 Jun 2016 14:56 - 71800 of 81564

Not so. We have given £640m as part of the Turkey deal to control immigrants. The extra £1.2b is a fiction from the leave campaign. What is your source of the information. The Express and a few other newspapers did report it, but that was from the figure that Leave came up with. It was a story back in April that seems to be still doing the rounds despite it being wrong. There will be some money spent to elp some countries to prepare for EU membership such as Serbia, Albania and a few others.

TANKER - 21 Jun 2016 15:20 - 71801 of 81564

Being a member of the European Union has been a one-way street for Britain. Contributions from Britain to the EU budget have outstripped the benefits received in every single year of membership.

In total since 1979, Britain has paid in about €260 billion (£228 billion). It has received back in benefits just €163 billion (£143 billion). The difference of €97 billion (£85 billion at today’s exchange rate) has been Britain’s subsidy to the European project.

Each nation’s contribution is based mainly on its Gross National Income, a measure of its economic output and earnings from overseas. The budget is spent on a range of projects to do with agriculture, fisheries, social projects and other Brussels subsidies.

Britain’s contribution figure would have been even higher had it not been for Margaret Thatcher’s tough stance in 1984, when she famously negotiated a rebate on the basis that the vast bulk of EU spending went on agricultural subsidies and Britain received a far lower proportion of this than other nations.

Under the terms of the rebate, Britain’s contributions were cut while other countries which benefited most from agricultural subsidies (mainly France) paid more.

There will be some money spent to elp every Serbian , Albanian and a few others to come over here and plonk themselves on any local council that's making cuts to it's budget for local loyal people .

Haystack - 21 Jun 2016 15:26 - 71803 of 81564

And then Blair gave away a substantial part of the rebate in exchange for a non existent change to the Common Agricultural Policy.

will10 - 21 Jun 2016 15:47 - 71804 of 81564

The UK has benefited massively from membership of the single market.
The car industry was rebuilt from inward investment and is now largely owned by the Japanese and US companies.
We would have no aero industry without EU partnership.
Both will be trashed if we leave the single market.
The future expansion of our services/financial industries needs easy access into the single market.
Brexit have no economic creditable alternative.

TANKER - 21 Jun 2016 15:53 - 71805 of 81564

what we need is to get corbyn in to power and help the poor kerb high rents and put limits on rents max £500 for a 3 bed .

I will vote for a lab gov who make this policy

Fred1new - 21 Jun 2016 16:00 - 71806 of 81564

I have solved the problems of remaining in the EU.

I have borrowed some books on learning Turkish and Romanian.

Should get me through the daily any daily problems I may face.

Delightful!

MaxK - 21 Jun 2016 16:02 - 71807 of 81564

Well, the remainers are after the yoof vote, and they'll probably get it.

Why, cos the youth of today are not as info savvy as they think they are.

If they were, they could look up what awaits them in the cuddly €U.
