blanche , which coast were you on in Florida ?? i live on the Gulf Coast and it has been cold but i dont know where they have had snow flurries.

jimmy b, Travelled all over. But listening to local tv stations a few places had record lows and some people had sent in photos to the station to show a very light dusting of snow. Just guessing but i think it was ocala way. I arrived on xmas day to 75`f spent three weeks traving round temps whole time late 20`s to 30`s at night. Only up to 50`s if you were lucky during the day Brrr!!!!!. Except new years eve in siesta key sat outside the skob ( Siesta key oyster bay) til the pineapple dropped. Then sods law back in the 70`s yesterday in Sea world.

Bad luck blanche ,you probably picked the worst 3 weeks in Florida history.
Friends of mine who have lived there all their lives say its never been that cold.

tell me about it. Southern hemisphere next xmas for me! taking no chances.

"Afren has entered into a joint venture agreement with Oriental Energy Resources and Energy Equity Resources for the exploration, appraisal and development of OML 115 offshore Nigeria.

This adjoins Afren and Oriental's Ebok and Okwok fields Ebok and Okwok development area.

Afren will acquire 81.25% of EER's 40% legal interest in OML 115 - 32.5% - under a farm-in agreement.

Afren has identified significant exploration potential at the deeper Qua Iboe level, a regionally prolific reservoir productive at the nearby Zafiro field

Gross mean resources potential estimate of 270 mmbbls. Afren said the agreement extends its partnership with Oriental on the Ebok and Okwok appraisal and developments/.

The total upfront cash cost is US$6m including signature bonus and licence extension fees, in addition to the requirement to drill one firm exploration well at an estimated cost of US$30m. Drilling will begin with one exploration well which is scheduled for H2 2010 "

AFR being surprisingly dull all things considered

They're spending money and committing to more expense with the agreement. More potential but nothing concrete and so investors hold back to do some additional research to find out if it was a good deal or not.

A fall of 4% is a worry.
