You have to live here for 5 years, pass the language test plus a number of other requirements.

You might get in for £3,000 but citizenship is a different thing and involves lots of government departments. Difficult to fix

The cost of obtaining UK citizenship is a little over £1,000 provided the requirements are fulfilled such as right of abode, been here for 5 years, no criminal record for 10 years, knowledge of English and life in the UK test etc.
