Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).
Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.
cheers GF.

You might get in for £3,000 but citizenship is a different thing and involves lots of government departments. Difficult to fix

The cost of obtaining UK citizenship is a little over £1,000 provided the requirements are fulfilled such as right of abode, been here for 5 years, no criminal record for 10 years, knowledge of English and life in the UK test etc.

What difference does it make? T
The crowds the other side of the channel don't give a toss about citizenship, they just want the money.

US elections
the following snippet from a longer FT article highlights one of the major weaknesses that i see in the US electoral system - ie you haven't a hope in hell of winning if you can't drag in millions and millions of $ to fund the whole jamboree
May fundraising numbers revealed that Mrs Clinton had reeled in almost nine times the $3.1m that the New York businessman took from donors. The Democrat ended the month with a $42.5m bank balance compared with $1.3m for her Republican rival.
“It’s a further indication that the Trump campaign is not ready for prime time,” said John Feehery, a former top Republican congressional aide. “Thank God they fired their campaign manager. There is still some time, but not much.”
