THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Best acoustic guitar intro i have ever heard in my life. Pity that is probably the best Led Zep could do. The rest of their music imo was painfully shite!

Looks like LEAVE might have won !.....

Funny enough ...bought a double album from them not long ago.....very imaginative .....some songs aren't too good...others are genius !......nice to listen to them after such a long time....

One week to go before Le Tour starts. One of the great events of the year.

cynic - 25 Jun 2016 17:50 - 71856 of 81564

better still if you got the definite article correct!

What are you on about C?

Fred1new - 25 Jun 2016 20:42 - 71859 of 81564

jimmy b - 25 Jun 2016 22:35 - 71860 of 81564

Wow Fred your clever finding that !

VICTIM - 26 Jun 2016 07:38 - 71861 of 81564

jimmy you can see how this is going can't you , Dave's gone Boris going to get it now for the next ten years , Freda's licking his lips . Insanity awaits .

Fred1new - 26 Jun 2016 08:34 - 71862 of 81564

If that happens it will be insanity reigns.

VICTIM - 26 Jun 2016 08:36 - 71863 of 81564

It's not raining here it's sunny and warmy ,

cynic - 26 Jun 2016 11:01 - 71864 of 81564

71860 - tour is feminine and thus it's LA Tour de France

MaxK - 26 Jun 2016 11:05 - 71865 of 81564

Cant you find a gender neutral term c?

cynic - 26 Jun 2016 11:05 - 71866 of 81564

next tory leader
both boris and theresa may may be seen as too divisive, so it would not surprise me if someone young(ish), smart and bright is brought to the fore
what's the calibre of this chap sajid javid for example?

MaxK - 26 Jun 2016 11:06 - 71867 of 81564

Rees-Mogg

cynic - 26 Jun 2016 11:07 - 71868 of 81564

i was about to write that neutral nouns in french are deemed to be masculine, but that is not so, as certainly it's la personne

iturama - 26 Jun 2016 11:16 - 71869 of 81564

Better tell the French then C. They must have it wrong because it is most certainly Le Tour de France. May be they are just being bloody minded, or not.

cynic - 26 Jun 2016 11:18 - 71870 of 81564

the smartarse wholeheartedly and sincerly grovels!!
you're absolutely right ...... but LA Tour Eiffel, but that is a tower rather than a tour

iturama - 26 Jun 2016 11:20 - 71871 of 81564

As for the Tory leader, we need someone to bring the country together, with name recognition. Not many tories will vote against their leader but the undecided certainly will, especially if it is perceived that the Brexiteers are being punished, like Junky from Nowhereland would like to do.
