Please report bugs and enhancements (BUGS)

andy.lovell - 04 Nov 2002 11:26

If you're having any problems, or want to suggest some improvements, please post below!

Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.

The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.

This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)

If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

Kyoto,

It should now be back if you want to try again,

Morning,

Stockwatch won't open. All I get is a X in top right corner. Java checked and up to date. Also logged out and in twice, still won't open.
Any idea's please.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 04 Jan 2008 07:49 - 7195 of 7315

greekman,

There are no issues with stockwatch this morning.

If you are seeing the red x then it is java on the machine either being blocked or being corrupted. I know you say you have the latest java, but could you try installing again from the following link please?

http://java.sun.com/webapps/getjava/BrowserRedirect?locale=en&host=www.java.com:80

If this does not work, try a restart on your machine to clear everything down.

Update. Works with streaming off, but not with streaming on.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 04 Jan 2008 07:51 - 7197 of 7315

greekman,

thats because the streaming off function is not java it takes you to an HTML page - it is a java issue on your machine, try the things I mentioned in my last post

Ian,

Thanks, it's corrected it'self without any alteration to the Java (strange or what).

Cheers Greek.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 04 Jan 2008 08:00 - 7199 of 7315

yeah sounds like Java was struggling to load on your machine. I would make sure it was updated if I was you anyway to stop it happening to you again.

Will do, although still showing latest version. Will re-install.

Ta.

smiler o - 04 Jan 2008 08:07 - 7201 of 7315

greekman how did you fix it I too am having same today strange as have had no problem 1 hour ago ?

IanT(MoneyAM) - 04 Jan 2008 08:08 - 7202 of 7315

smiler,

there are no problems at this end - if you are getting a red cross, then it is java related - try a restart on your machine first off all. if that doesn't work, then try updating Java by clicking on the link below:

http://java.sun.com/webapps/getjava/BrowserRedirect?locale=en&host=www.java.com:80

Hi smiler,

Just knocked streaming off/on a couple of times. Didn't do anything else, but will take Ian's advice re install/re-install.

That worked thanks :))

IanT(MoneyAM) - 04 Jan 2008 08:13 - 7208 of 7315

that refers to an image server and is not related I will get Alex to take alook into that, but what happens when you try to view stockwatch?

Ian

kammy - 04 Jan 2008 08:15 - 7209 of 7315

ian,

i get java load failed...however a d v f n monitor works fine.

kammy - 04 Jan 2008 08:16 - 7210 of 7315

ian it starts of saying stockapplet noinited that
java load failed

IanT(MoneyAM) - 04 Jan 2008 08:18 - 7211 of 7315

kammy,

I cannot reproduce that here - however, Alex is taking a look to see if he can reproduce it - from what has been said it is java related. can you try an update on the java to see if that helps - also, I assume that you are using firefox from what you have said - if you have IE on the machine can you try with that to see if you can reproduce please?
