Delicious Socs - the butter from that roll is dripping down my chin- must have been local Gloucestershire bacon - old Spotted or whatever! What's on offer to drink with this . ..... I think I shall pass on the sherry trifle, perhaps a bit too heavy but enjoy ...

jj50 - 05 Jun 2004 23:27 - 7210 of 23498

DD are you going to have some of Socs bacon?

daves dazzlers - 05 Jun 2004 23:29 - 7211 of 23498

dotel - 05 Jun 2004 23:29 - 7212 of 23498

Thought you'd never ask, Socks, seeing as you never saved me any shepherd's pie..

jj50 - 05 Jun 2004 23:34 - 7213 of 23498

Evening dotel. I wonder if Socs does this much cooking when Mrs Socks is around?

daves dazzlers - 05 Jun 2004 23:38 - 7214 of 23498

ladies ,ladies,,there seems to be a pattern here,,,when socks gets his pork loin out,,,,,,ladies appear from nowhere.

jj50 - 05 Jun 2004 23:40 - 7215 of 23498

Jealousy will get you nowhere dd

dotel - 05 Jun 2004 23:41 - 7216 of 23498

Hi jj - I expect that's why she went away - must have had sherry trifles coming out of hers ears.. ;)

Socrates - 05 Jun 2004 23:42 - 7217 of 23498

dotel
Hush about the shepherds pie, someone's been around asking after the shepherd. They found his clothes, boots and crook but no sign of him. Help yourself to bacon and sherry trifle, the trifle is another special, lots of champagne in it.

DD
Sorry, not a commissioned type so can't help. You shouldn't complain though, some people pay a fortune to watch the 'Arrows'.

jj50
It's proper dry cured bacon, Gloucester Old Spot. Makes super sizzling sausages too. Just wait till the next bangers and mash night, can't be beaten with a drop of good old onion gravy. Stop drooling now, you're supposed to be grown up.

daves dazzlers - 05 Jun 2004 23:43 - 7218 of 23498

oh well worth a try,i never new pork got the ladies flustered.

dotel - 05 Jun 2004 23:46 - 7219 of 23498

Oh ta, Socks...must admit, I've never had bacon and sherry trifle before. Try anything though.

Socrates - 05 Jun 2004 23:47 - 7220 of 23498

DD
I had heard that some ladies were partial to a nice pork sausage but never understood the nudge nudge wink wink.

I'm off to bed now, got some good dreaming to get up to. Good night all. Don't leave any of the bacon, fresh lot coming in for full English breakfast in the morning.

daves dazzlers - 05 Jun 2004 23:50 - 7221 of 23498

lets hope his pork sword does not go pop.

STORMCALLER - 05 Jun 2004 23:55 - 7222 of 23498

Late again, typical I am afraid, but this is a very long journey for me, any of Socs bacon left?
Oops, apologies for rudeness, Evening All.

dotel - 06 Jun 2004 00:03 - 7223 of 23498

Help yourself, Stormie...and good evening to you too

STORMCALLER - 06 Jun 2004 00:06 - 7224 of 23498

Dotel,
So we meet again, and once again I'm going to stuff my face, might be an idea to look away if you are queasy, I'm starving, any brown source, perfect for bacon sarnies.

dotel - 06 Jun 2004 00:08 - 7225 of 23498

Err, no, but here's some brown sauce..

STORMCALLER - 06 Jun 2004 00:14 - 7226 of 23498

The perfect accompaniment, thank you. and yet again I forget my manners, care for some of this bubbly I bought with me from home, my supplier said I'd exhausted his stock, but a vulcan death-grip and a tap from my staff persuaded him to reconsider.

dotel - 06 Jun 2004 00:18 - 7227 of 23498

Such persuasive powers.. how could I refuse after such determination?

STORMCALLER - 06 Jun 2004 00:23 - 7228 of 23498

In vain hope of such favour I have ensured it is an axcellent vintage, and chilled to perfection, I do hope it meets with your approval. er, any more food about?, said I was hungry.
