Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).
Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.
cheers GF.

Don't forget that 48% supported remain and some leavers have changed their mind. Add to that the Conservatives have more support overall than Labour, May should get re-elected easily.

"Don't forget that 48% supported remain and some leavers have
changed their mind"
I've also read several dozen people who said they voted remain, that
if there was another vote they'd vote to Leave because they've discovered
that before, the remainer's were saying the stock markets would collapse and
never recover and a world war would break out and a drought and pestilence
would sweep the planet.
They've now excepted it was all issued by a lying, deceiving, treacherous dollops
of dog shite, namely cameron and his bum buddy osborne..

Conservative leadership election: Poll finds Theresa May most popular candidate, even among Leave voters
Around 64 per cent of Leave voters have a positive opinion of Home Secretary
Theresa May is the most popular candidate in the Conservative Party leadership race - even among leave voters, a poll has revealed.
The Home Secretary, who backed the Remain campaign in the run-up to the EU referendum, is also the most well-known of the contenders fo the Tory crown, according to the YouGov poll published Saturday.
Members of the public were asked whether or not they knew enough about each of the leadership candidates to be able to give an opinion, and those who did were asked to say whether their opinion was positive, negative or neutral. They were also asked how they voted in the EU referendum on 23 June.

Haze.
When it comes to the tory leadership election the majority of the public think of it as buying a pig in a poke.
Oik, oik.

Before the tory rat fight vote for PM is taken, are we going to see the "candidates'" tax returns and lists of overseas "investments"?
Duplicity comes to mind.

Are people banging on about Andrea Leadsome's finance experience seriously saying what the country needs right now is to be led by a banker?

Not Conservative voters. The 150,000 members who will vote on leader.

About 1,000 sample of Conservative members. Figures so clear that margins of error do not apply. Statistically it is a very good sample.

The clue to the care taken is in the question "would best understand the economy"- they must be taking the Michael or it shows how much the average Tory MP knows about the economy.
Andrea is streets ahead when it comes to the economy. She was not a "Banker" although she worked in senior positions for banks, the last position being in Corporate Governance ie keeping "The Bankers" in line. She was economic secretary to the Treasury until moving to Minister of State for Energy.
Theresa studied Geography and worked at the Bank of England for about 12 years after University (job unknown, possibly counting money, does that make her a banker?), then as a financial consultant for a further 12 years. Bit young to be a consultant but you know what they say.
Either could do the job but Andrea has the X factor. You look at Theresa and feel like taking a holiday.

Ken Clarke has said he will vote tactically for Crabb to keep Brexiteers off the ballot and then switch to May. I suspect many Conservative MPs may do that.

Sounds like a good idea. Exactly the same thing happened to him when he stood for leader in 2005 and he took it very well. It is called politics.
