THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

driver was a french citizen though with dual french/tunisian passport
impossible to prevent

VICTIM - 15 Jul 2016 08:27 - 72608 of 81564

The trouble is this will make more people want to live here , legally or any other way .

cynic - 15 Jul 2016 08:52 - 72609 of 81564

not especially, but certainly FN in france will make hay

cynic - 15 Jul 2016 09:35 - 72610 of 81564

thank goodness the raving loony seems to have departed for florida already

These attacks will continue .......how do you prevent a lorry in pedestrian areas ?...perhaps retractable bollards every 50 meters or so which can be put in place swiftly....this all adds up to making life unbearable at times in big cities....and extremely costly to police......

cynic - 15 Jul 2016 09:58 - 72612 of 81564

you can't - end of story

in this instance, freedom of movement (schengen agreement) was irrelevant and the intelligence organisation clearly picked up nothing untoward .... nor would they if this guy was working pretty much on his own

jimmy b - 15 Jul 2016 09:58 - 72613 of 81564

You can never prevent something like that ,there will always be a way to hurt a large crowd of people .
I thank it's very sad that Europe has become this way .

Haystack - 15 Jul 2016 09:59 - 72614 of 81564

The real danger from ISIS to ourselves is when they are declared defeated in Iraq and Syria. They won't suddenly all be dead, instead they will have been dispersed to areas not in the war zone. That mean they will be coming here and the rest of Europe.

jimmy b - 15 Jul 2016 10:00 - 72615 of 81564

Yes and thank the lunatic leaders of Europe for that .

VICTIM - 15 Jul 2016 10:02 - 72616 of 81564

Haystack this is what I said , there is no one cause ie Syria , now it is anywhere .

jimmy b - 15 Jul 2016 10:06 - 72617 of 81564

The biggest threat is home grown terrorists ,how do you stop someone born in that country with no criminal record suddenly deciding to go on a suicide mission ?

VICTIM - 15 Jul 2016 10:08 - 72618 of 81564

I see the remainers have quietened down today looking around some BBs .

cynic - 15 Jul 2016 10:52 - 72619 of 81564

it's never that simple jimmy

the sunni/shia conflict which was the original basis for all this has been going on for centuries
nor should it be forgotten that much of the fundamentalist wahhabi money comes from a highly-placed clique in saudi .... the ruling family is also sunni
isis is hard-core wahhabi

all clean and clearcut isn't it

MaxK - 15 Jul 2016 10:57 - 72620 of 81564

Teflon Teresa has blown a few lefty circuits in the last couple of days.

The chattering classes have got a real surprise, and I must admit, I didn't see it coming, quite the reverse.

Far from doom and gloom, the whole world is out there and willing to do business:

Up yours O'Bammy!

grannyboy - 15 Jul 2016 10:58 - 72621 of 81564

Here we go again..Apologist for the religion of peace...

This individual might have been of dual Tunisian/French nationality,
buts its been proven in previous attacks that they have associations
with islamist from abroad and some that have made their way to europe.

SO PLEASE FRICK OFF WITH YOUR DEFENDING OF A RELIGION OF HATE!!

They even blow up and murder each other, just because they're from different
sects of their murderous religion..

cynic - 15 Jul 2016 11:00 - 72622 of 81564

at whom is that little burst of spleen aimed?
anything constructive to add?

Haystack - 15 Jul 2016 11:03 - 72623 of 81564

The events in Nice will be taken more seriously now as it is revealed that at least two Americans were killed last night.

grannyboy - 15 Jul 2016 11:12 - 72624 of 81564

Yes how about, if you wish to travel about a city expect to be searched,
pedestrian area's protected from such attacks by big blocks of concrete,
turning city roads into fortresses...

But it all must be worth it in being multi cultural and accomodating of a
cult that is totally alien to western civilisation..

VICTIM - 15 Jul 2016 11:14 - 72625 of 81564

I did see a headline the other day from Glasgow i think that a muslim murdered a muslim shop owner because the shop owner gave a Christmas present to a person . Doesn't prove anything but just shows what can happen .

cynic - 15 Jul 2016 11:17 - 72626 of 81564

GB - sorry to be curt, but that is a fatuous comment ..... think about it
