We'll have to see what happens after May visits Merkel and Hollande too , will there be a softening and different wording from May after .

Im sure the (disenfranchised) tory party membership are fully behind the unelected party leader and all her works.

TM may be unelected by the tory party membership, but i live in reasonable hope that she'll do a good to even very good job as pm

Went to my eldest daughters graduation yesterday (she got a first in accountancy). Lovely day but about 10 degrees too hot. What fascinated me was the number of overseas students graduating , mainly Asians , must have been around 60% of the accountancy students and they have to pay around £20k per year for the course and most of their parents had flown over for the event !

Thinking about it my daughter was one of the overseas students cos we had to cross the Severn Bridge to get there :-)

May will win next GE with a huge majority

tories may well win the next GE, but whether on merit or by default because the labour party is seen as a total disaster with hard-left corbyn at the helm

By 2020 you would think the Labour party would have sorted its self out ,we need a strong opposition , so i hope that's the case . If we are lied to (whatever Haystack thinks) they will not win a GE ,you will also get huge votes from various regions of the UK for UKIP .

Labour may have split by then and could call themselves New Labour , or something .

there is no question that parliament and the country deserve a credible opposition regardless of who is holding the reins
viewed dispassionately, corbyn is clearly not a man cut out to be a leader ..... his pathetic support of "remain" which was the clear wish of the labour party, says it all

The immigration will be the same as now. It will take years to control it. They have removed the specific targets as they are currently impossible. May will still win if immigration is the same as now.

Theresa May does not need a GE or a party election. The Conservative government was elected by virtue of having more MPs elected. The public did not elect the PM. She is still bound by the same manifesto that the public voted for. She doesn't need a GE unless she plans major changes to the manifesto.

Haystack do you really think that the 17.5 million people would vote her in if immigration is at current levels ? do you remember the Major days and how it ended ? you seem to think the Tories are the b all and end all ,they are not .
