ASOS have dropped quite significantly in the past week for no particular reason and I view this as the perfect opportunity to invest as I can see them bouncing right back up to the 5.50p mark in the next 2-3 weeks. STRONG BUY!!

AdieH: GhostSurf is a suite of s/w aimed at removing 'Spyware' and allowing you to surf the net without revealing your IP Address. It also has a number of other useful features, eg cleaning up internet rubbish as well as a Secure Vault for all those files you do not anybody else to view!!! Having said that there are a number of other s/w suites available, I just happen to use this one, and I like it.

legend
See that you're a hero, even a legend, on your own BNH column after the share breaks 1. Kicking myself for not being in it but can't be everywhere. Will watch it though because your prediction of 1.50 seems reasonable - are you saying it won't double after all? Good for ASC to have some competition.

EWRobson - Ramadan starting on friday leading to a PET decision? Don't want to be pedantic but Ramadan started about 4 weeks ago, so it is due to end soon not start.

EWR, I think plenty more past 1.50, but when you buy at 61p you have to look at percentages and how much you have made. I am a pesimist I know, just like with this asc, when I sold thelot at 30-40...
There has been a bit of profit taking today and price down 7p. Not concerned at all. This BNH stock is a winner.

tbrooking: Are you Trevor, by any chance? you must always get asked that! He really is a great guy - just heard a true story about his concern for the disadvantaged. You are absolutely right, I misread the calendar, substituting November for October. Ramadan finishes this weekend with the Eid feast so that Monday could be PET's day!
Legend: BHP does rocket around on small volumes! That suggests opportunities ahead. No criticism for understating the potential. I will be watching your bb closely for future action.

As various posters to the ASOS BB have spotted new advertising for our favourite stock they may be interested to see one today on www.skysports.com...Football...it pops up as a flash advertisement on the r.h.s.
of the screen! A splendid promotion for the companies products! John

Sandra: I am sure all of us want you to buy lots of items from ASOS. So if you complete your MoneyAm profile I will be able to communicate with you outside this BB, as I am sure readers will not be interested in the details of sorting out this little problem! John

Sandra and John
I perceive a little liaison developing. Now, Sandra, we want to see you at your best in ASOS clothes but we do want a bit of loyalty to the group, unless the favoured one is me, of course.
ASC price holding back nicely, John, so hopefully it is Blue Index tomorrow, a CFD and the holding built up nicely.
ASOS Challenge hotting up, as I'll report tomorrow. Seems more and more likely, as Sandra will confirm, that a positive RNS is imminent on PET. The dark horse is YOO. They are currently suspended whilst they try to swallow a monstrous gaming operation. I have argued on that bb that they could emerge at a significantly higher price. If they don't, there could be a short term buying opportunity. Not sure my old ticker can handle all this! I am just glad that there are false dawns elsewhere!

More ticker pressure! Just done the cfd on ASC with blue index. Not sure whether they know how to handle we Investors Room professionals. Told him I wasn't having anything of these wretched stop losses (poor chap on PET saw his shares being sold before his eyes!). Charged top of spread at 80p though market price was 79.5p. But had sold on Tuesday at 81.25p so selling commission and 0.5% on buy is covered. Seems painless so far and have replaced the ASC sold to buy PET and pay for Xmas hols, making profit in process. Can't be bad!

Well done...a big step forward for real profits...I/we hope! Seriously, you should find Blue Index looking after you well. Talking of Stop Losses I had a
real ticker pressure yesterday when a favourite share of mine just kept going down, and then for no reason after two days its back up. Just goes to show how useful it is to go with the 2 day rule and with small shares ... end of week rule.
At this rate we will have to draw up a set of Trading Rules which we use!
Lets hope you will be able to splash out on extra special gifts this Yuletide, based on your diligence and risk taking!!

Hi John
Pleasant thoughts! Could have closed the CFD book with 0.02p profit per share in a couple of hours! Did you do the PET CFD: now that would be a risk but just think of the upside. With confidence growing, will probably to another CFD on ASC next week to build up ahead of the interims. Meanwhile, waiting with bated breath for YOO to come back from suspension with major uplift and PET take of to stratosphere; then bloody AZM keeps rising. But you've been doing pretty well yourself judging by your PET post! Just got planning permission for a replacement of the garage block, complete with apartment - the vision could even become reality!

Eric:
I thought long and hard about taking out a CFD on PET, but have not yet done so. The question is I think how much risk you are prepared to take on...how do you assess the chances of PET getting any contract in Iraq? I ask this question because of the leverage a CFD offers...if you go LONG and the SP goes UP, that's nice, on the other hand if it goes DOWN (gloom and doom)...as I wrote in a previous response to Sandra, it's almost a binary bet, any good news means the SP will shoot UP, and equally the converse is true. Whereas with ASOS it is has a tangible product that is selling like hot cakes...by the way I note Shares magazine this week mentioned ASOS as a company that has positioned it's products so well on pp19 - but not included in the Company Index (I thought they had Computers to check these things but what do I know)..and that is where I have the CFD running! Like you I am mulling a further investment next week depending on market sentiment.
As to your Garage conversion...surely you are not losing the Car Parking space in Rye, that must be worth a few bob alone!! Still you could turn the Apartment into a Dealing Room given all the money you will soon be making! Clearly a good investment.
I am not sure that YOO has the momentum YET, not in AZM.

hey guys this thread was created for asc share participents so why not keep it to that way, there seems to be far more information on other shares of which this thread wasn't intended, if all the other threads went down this path then there isn't any reason for bb threads by specific company names, to exist, yeah??

Welcome, cashcaptain, but why not say something about ASC? The posts on this bb usually say something about ASC and other shares of mutual interest as well, notable those included in the ASOS Challenge Portfolio. But you say nothing about anything!
Off to Beaconsfield to see an old friend, including entertainment to a potentially super Chinese, and then a lecture in Oxford tomorrow (won't say what about!). Will do the ASOS Challenge Portfolio tomorrow evening. Its like evolution - stable prices, then a period of random changes, then ... breakthrough to a new species; not just one stock, either!

Hi folks, been away for a few days in Somerset but now back up to speed on the thread.
johngtudor, EW, Sandra,
Going back a few days,
There is a good spyware programme for free in the computeractive magazines workshops, its swedish named "Lavasofts Adware 6".
Open up with web address "www.computeractive.co.uk/download/1136025. When page opens, click on download here, when dialog box appears, click on save and select desktop in the menu. File is 1.5mb in size and takes about 4 min to download. The programme can be updated also. I use it weekly, clearing out rubbish. SD
