not seen eric much these days.
maybe he's enjoying the summer haze
and the lazy ways
of old age.
i picture him now on the patio,
sipping his rioja
as he rocks on his rocker,
pondering the call on his margin
for his friend s e o.

Sequestor - 14 Jul 2005 10:12 - 7293 of 27111

no reply then- unemployed and in the public library, seems about right.

bhunt1910 - 14 Jul 2005 10:17 - 7294 of 27111

Me - happilky semi retired - working from home in my spare time.

God knows how I ever found time to do a full time job.

Serious question.

If SEO were to do a deal with WalMart - would the announcement be in the UK at 0700 or in the states at 1430 BST ?

Baza

Sequestor - 14 Jul 2005 10:22 - 7295 of 27111

bhunt-I never doubted your credentials, same meself, retired at 50 and have never done a stroke of "work", (well a wee bit of consultancy work occasionally), since;
worked hard before that tho`-probably put as many constructive hrs. (away from home too)- in, as some do sticking it out to 65.

proptrade - 14 Jul 2005 11:04 - 7296 of 27111

07.00 to answer a serious question for once!

Chiva20 - 14 Jul 2005 11:18 - 7297 of 27111

I suppose Stanelco would announce at 7 and Walmart at 14.30? So both?

bhunt1910 - 14 Jul 2005 11:19 - 7298 of 27111

Thanks PT - Is that because SEO is registered in UK ?

Baza

bosley - 14 Jul 2005 11:26 - 7299 of 27111

i'm not too sure, baza, simply because they have already made a few announcements in usa but not here. i hope proptrade is right, though, and we get it first!!

proptrade - 14 Jul 2005 11:32 - 7300 of 27111

indeed. a deal of that size would naturally be announced here because of the price sensitive nature and the fact that it would be just plain weird to let Wal Mart steal the thunder of a deal or reduce the impact in any way. 07.00 is the key time and any positive announcement is made then for maximum impact. This would be an SEO announcement first and a Wal Mart update and editorial style RNS.

also , can anyone expand on cyrils post about todays supposed presentation by aquasol, frogpack, etc?

paulmasterson1 - 14 Jul 2005 13:35 - 7302 of 27111

Bosley Hi,

The summary of todays presentation from 'allwashedup' on FYB ....

http://www.fillyaboots.com/f7/forum_posts.asp?TID=1921&PN=0&TPN=15

My reply to it is at the bottom of that page.

Cheers,
PM

ROTFLMFAO-fillyaboots- the intelligent punters bible

hahahahahahahahah, the name says it all, and oh look there is a bloke saying that 50p is coming, jaysus they must all be clones of masterballs.

bosley - 14 Jul 2005 13:50 - 7304 of 27111

reading that , i am guessing it was a presentation to potential clients , rather than city types?

bhunt1910 - 14 Jul 2005 15:16 - 7305 of 27111

I thought that I would ask Howard White at SEO for his opinion on the timing of any announcement - UK or US - this is his response - predicatable I guess - but nevertheless impressed that I got an answer within 30 minutes - and I only addressed my query to investor relations mailbox:

"Hypothetically it would depend on the nature of the tranasction to be announced and wether it was deemed significant enough to require an RNS.

Thank you for your continued interest and support,

Regards,

howard White"

Sequestor - 14 Jul 2005 15:21 - 7306 of 27111

don`t forget that an RNS isn`t free, the co, decides if it`s needed - and they pay for its publication.
I don`t think that because one of masterbollox mates knows about it,and posts in that rag-mag of a bb., that that is reason enough- quite the opposite.

ps ask him if there is any more "secret buying-schhhh!!", going on, a true clown.

bosley - 14 Jul 2005 15:43 - 7307 of 27111

seq, i think baza was talking about whether an rns concerning walmart would be released in uk first or in usa and not about today's presentation .

paulmasterson1 - 14 Jul 2005 16:30 - 7308 of 27111

Bosley Hi,

It was indeed to clients at the company where the author works, and he mentions them going to another client after.

Cheers,
PM

proptrade - 14 Jul 2005 16:37 - 7309 of 27111

bosley, i CANNOT believe you asked White that question. I am not being funny but if you reaaly want to know ask your broker or ask SEO's broker...i think you are a decent guy but if i was the CEO i would really think that is a very annoying question - i mean WHAT RESPONSE WERE YOU EXPECTING???:

"Shhh bosley....i shouldn't be telling you this but we are writing it now - WAL MArt is game on, can i read you this to guage your opinion? remember, don't tell a sole until 07.00"

reserve those emails when we really need an answer! if a walmart deal is announced at 02.00 anytime i (and none of us) wouldn't care!

sorry mate, i hope you take this in the gentle ribbing that it is intended....
