THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Dumbo,

P 72964

No.

I was just wondering if he the same sort of problems as you seem to me to have.

VICTIM - 04 Aug 2016 12:01 - 72971 of 81564

Dumbo was an efelump don't you know .

Haystack - 04 Aug 2016 12:35 - 72972 of 81564

iturama
12% if those who voted and 8% of those entitled to vote. Not a poll, actual figures from GE.

iturama - 04 Aug 2016 14:41 - 72973 of 81564

Give over Hays. We can all do sums. Who knows the political composition of those that didn't vote. According to the polls, around 12% of the electorate, that is all entitled to vote, support UKIP. Your 8% is meaningless. But if it rows your boat, go with it.
There won't be an election for 4 years in any case.

Do you have a persecution complex C? Seems to me that you get off quite lightly here.. :)

Fred1new - 04 Aug 2016 14:45 - 72975 of 81564

Vicky,

I knew there was a similarity.

-=-=-=-=

IT,

Are you sure?

Ummm. I wonder!

4years to "fix" the economy, which the cons couldn't do in 6years and into a headwind.

Ummmmm!

The waiter should be prosecuted and persecuted.

Haystack - 04 Aug 2016 14:49 - 72978 of 81564

No. 12% of those who actually voted, voted for UKIP.

grannyboy - 04 Aug 2016 15:58 - 72979 of 81564

Well seeing as nearly 4 million voted for UKIP but only achieved 1 seat, and
yet UKIP had more votes then the SNP, LibDems and the Greens put together.

Haystack - 04 Aug 2016 16:28 - 72980 of 81564

It is a major problem for emerging parties. They do not have the party machinery in each constituency to do much better. The Libs manage high numbers of MPs sometimes because their support is concentrated in a small number of specific areas such as the West Country. Labour are strong in metropolitan areas and the Conservatives are in rural areas and specifically the Home Counties.

There is no natural area for UKIP. Their strongest showing is in areas of low education and strong racist opinions such as Clacton, parts of Kent, East Anglia and a few northern areas with high immigration.

UKIP can't make inroads without local party machinery and central control. It has taken the other parties more than 60 years to develop their methods. They have vast databases of people who will vote for them. Come the election, it is about getting the vote out

UKIP would need about 25% support to get much of an increase in MPs, because they do not have strong enough support in specific areas. They attempt to increase their vote in some even way across the country. First past the post means that strategy will always fail.

Here's what makes the 'perfect female body'. There are two of them apparently, one according to women and one according to men:

iturama - 06 Aug 2016 16:12 - 72983 of 81564

But who's shoes?

Chris Carson - 06 Aug 2016 20:04 - 72984 of 81564

Forget shoes iturama, good hips (wide) would be my preference and thighs that squeeze, not break like twigs i.e. the above. Personality that makes you laugh and ok big nipples if that floats your boat :0) Forget super models.

ExecLine - 06 Aug 2016 20:14 - 72985 of 81564

Adam Peaty absolutely smashes the competition in his '100m Breast Stroke' Heat whilst creating a new World Record of 57.55 secs.

My daughter knows him quite well and she says he tells people it is his intention to create a new world record every time he swims.

So 'watch this space', eh?

jimmy b - 06 Aug 2016 22:00 - 72986 of 81564

Do you mean like this Chris ? you did say big hips and thighs that sqeeze.

Chris Carson - 06 Aug 2016 22:17 - 72987 of 81564

Nahhh Jimmy she would break my back.:0) I'm talking real ladies with a brain. But preferably with big nipples as she is quoting Shakespeare. Oooops think I'm in big trouble with our female posters. No sense of humour?

cynic - 07 Aug 2016 17:19 - 72988 of 81564

like diane abbott perhaps

Fred1new - 07 Aug 2016 17:51 - 72989 of 81564
