ASOS: BUY AT LOW PRICE!!!! (ASC)

wilco99 - 12 Sep 2003 15:52

ASOS have dropped quite significantly in the past week for no particular reason and I view this as the perfect opportunity to invest as I can see them bouncing right back up to the 5.50p mark in the next 2-3 weeks. STRONG BUY!!

Profit taking today? ASOS has had a phenominal run over the last 5 days, so I expect to see a drop - opinions on how far its going to drop?(10% so far today)

WOODIE - 20 Apr 2004 10:51 - 74 of 5941

masont no one can give an expected price target at the moment, what we need is a pullback then new uptrend, when we have this we have a support level so if it does not hold time to get out,as i have been saying for the last week its needed a pullback to get new investors in that missed the boat first time around.cheers woodie

ateeq180 - 20 Apr 2004 16:07 - 75 of 5941

worth selling today,or is it worth holding?

WOODIE - 20 Apr 2004 16:29 - 76 of 5941

at before anyone can answer they need to know your buying price?

ateeq180 - 20 Apr 2004 16:45 - 77 of 5941

Well i have sold them at 20.75p,with a nice profit of 85%,AS I bought them at 10.62p.just thought in case their was more profit taking tomorrow, well its my luck tomorrow it might be the other way,but good luck to the holders of this stock.

I do not understand the sell off or why you sold up. I expected it from day traders but not from those that have held them from 10.62 and lower. This company will be the star performer of the year without any hype from rampers or tipsters, it is very well managed, very profitable, growing at a fantastic rate and the share price has doubled since February. MMs had a lot to do with the sell off, are you aware that buys were being displayed as sells on advfn, I read a BB comment to that effect and bought a few more only to watch my trade go through as a sell. If this retraces to 18p I will buy another 100,000. This game is like horse racing, too much fixing tree shaking, insider dealing and corruption.

WOODIE - 21 Apr 2004 06:55 - 79 of 5941

at cant understand you selling you might have 85%profit at the moment but will you be able to buy back at 10.62 if not once they go over 20.75 think of %profit you are missing out on.cheers woodie after wall street last night looks like most stocks will be marked down.

Good point on the mms,I have also seen this happen before and it really gets my back up,how do they get away with it?

jj50 - 21 Apr 2004 09:29 - 81 of 5941

I am hanging on to my ASOS having sold Mayborn yesterday (with a very healthy profit) but think it was a mistake already - I did the same with Gresham computing some time ago, so am in this one for the longer haul!

tbrooking66 - 21 Apr 2004 10:41 - 82 of 5941

think we've possibly seen the trough. think the price will recover from now.

WOODIE - 21 Apr 2004 10:48 - 83 of 5941

at bet you fell sick now at time of posting sell price 21.50.

tbrooking66 - 21 Apr 2004 11:23 - 84 of 5941

theres such strong demand for this share it the moment, im not sure where it will end. what do people think is the target for asos?

keith thomas - 21 Apr 2004 13:30 - 85 of 5941

There,s nothing wrong with taking your profit. People are sometimes reluctant to sell and often rue the day!!

mitzy - 21 Apr 2004 15:08 - 86 of 5941

Keep buying brokers have a 30p target..

WOODIE - 21 Apr 2004 15:24 - 87 of 5941

masont re 20april on this date unable to give downside target due to strong uptrend, now we have a pullback and sell of this morning support levels are as follows last nights close of 20.88 and todays interday low of 18.38 if price goes through either of these prices time to get out.cheers woodie ps always down to you when to sell or buy.

No doubt this stock is cheap, forecast EPS 1.9p for 2005, I'm a buyer & big fan. I would however like to know how the management's plan to grow the company to keep the EPS numbers strong.

I have read other boards comparing this stock with company's like Amazon but ASOS is only selling to UK customers??

The management are planning to add footwear & jewellery to the website, how much will this complement the business??

Does this company need to go European or Worldwide?? This will also bring new infrastructure cost's.

Anyone with any ideas ????

wjordan - 01 May 2004 02:56 - 89 of 5941

Comment in the trading update that the start of the new trading year had been excellent - seems unusually bold to come out with such a strong statement when the new year was only 2 weeks old - how can they say that with such confidence - a clue may come from the fact that just before the start of the new trading year the company came out with i) advertising on their website, ii) ringtones and iii) the ability to buy is US and Canadian dollars and the Euro. Would be easy to read too much into this, but it looks like they are getting some interest from oversees customers.

chartist2004 - 05 May 2004 08:20 - 90 of 5941

Off to a cracking start today, after heavy buying before Tues close, up another 8%today?

matthewm - 05 May 2004 10:36 - 91 of 5941

This was tipped in Red Hot Penny Shares this month, got it in the post yesterday.

zomby - 09 May 2004 17:27 - 92 of 5941

Well, will this pull back or reach new highs next week????

On a prospective pe of 15, not expensive for a growth stock.

Interims next month so may float around current price until then.

Any one with any alternative theories???
