Legend have you looked at kmr (kenmare resources). A longer term approach needed but this looks a no brainer to me. What do you think?

AFX

LONDON (AFX) - UK small-caps opened firmer, led by TradingSports Exchange Systems, whose shares again headed north on talk of an imminent financing deal. A profits warning from Nestor Healthcare tempered overall gains, however, with the FTSE Small-Cap index just 0.7 firmer at 2,478.6 by 9.10 am. The FTSE 100 was 5.2 adrift at 4,410.5.

TradingSports Exchange Systems continued to climb as speculation increased over the conclusion of a new financing deal.

Gossips suggest that the AIM-listed betting software specialist will soon confirm new financing from Terry Ramsden, the former Japanese warrants trader-turned investor.

TradingSports, whose shares rose 8 pence to 78-1/2, said last week that it had received funding approaches from several parties

Legend,

Which online broker can I use for shares like TES and BNH? My broker, IMIWEB does not deal with these shares. Thanks.

Ramu

seawallwalker - 04 Aug 2004 08:25 - 88 of 106

Well done leg end.

Looks like you have another, but what drew youto it?

ramu, look at broker advarts to see who deal on the AIM index.

Most do, one or two do not.

Go to the Motely Fool at www.fool.co.uk who usually have a few who they are pushing, but the cross sections will help.

If not look at hoodless brennan, Hargreaves & Lansdown, etrade, to name but a few.

In nmaming them I do not give any accompanying recommnedation, as to me they are all as good as each other.

seawallwalker - 04 Aug 2004 09:54 - 89 of 106

I hope all you TES punters are out.

If not, look at the price

ramu - 04 Aug 2004 12:07 - 90 of 106

Seawallwalker,

Many thanks - I managed to buy a few BNH from Hoodless Brennan.

Guys,

I have detailed reasons for investing personally if anyone is interested.

The company has a market capitalisation of just 11.68 million at the time
of writing - share price 77.5p. Having raised 2 million net in May this
puts the enterprise value of the company at under 10 million.

Brewin Dolphin are forecasting operating cashflow of 2.85 million in the
next financial year. Having already beaten Brewin Dolphin's forecasts for
the last reported year this looks more than feasible and would leave the
shares trading on a p/e ratio of 5.1. For a growth company this is
exceptionally low by any standards.

Furthermore, the cash generated is to be utilised by acquiring brokers on
very sensible terms. The fear, as highlighted in Investors Chronicle's buy
recommendation last Friday, is that acquisitions must be found. However,
Monday's announcement eases this worry and on this basis I decided to buy
and believe that the shares are significantly undervalued.

It would be interesting to hear anyones thoughts on the stock. I think with the cash element it will be a lot safer than Tradingsports Exchange systems and I might actually be able to sleep easier at night!!
