ROTFLMFAO-fillyaboots- the intelligent punters bible

hahahahahahahahah, the name says it all, and oh look there is a bloke saying that 50p is coming, jaysus they must all be clones of masterballs.

bosley - 14 Jul 2005 13:50 - 7304 of 27111

reading that , i am guessing it was a presentation to potential clients , rather than city types?

bhunt1910 - 14 Jul 2005 15:16 - 7305 of 27111

I thought that I would ask Howard White at SEO for his opinion on the timing of any announcement - UK or US - this is his response - predicatable I guess - but nevertheless impressed that I got an answer within 30 minutes - and I only addressed my query to investor relations mailbox:

"Hypothetically it would depend on the nature of the tranasction to be announced and wether it was deemed significant enough to require an RNS.

Thank you for your continued interest and support,

Regards,

howard White"

Sequestor - 14 Jul 2005 15:21 - 7306 of 27111

don`t forget that an RNS isn`t free, the co, decides if it`s needed - and they pay for its publication.
I don`t think that because one of masterbollox mates knows about it,and posts in that rag-mag of a bb., that that is reason enough- quite the opposite.

ps ask him if there is any more "secret buying-schhhh!!", going on, a true clown.

bosley - 14 Jul 2005 15:43 - 7307 of 27111

seq, i think baza was talking about whether an rns concerning walmart would be released in uk first or in usa and not about today's presentation .

paulmasterson1 - 14 Jul 2005 16:30 - 7308 of 27111

Bosley Hi,

It was indeed to clients at the company where the author works, and he mentions them going to another client after.

Cheers,
PM

proptrade - 14 Jul 2005 16:37 - 7309 of 27111

bosley, i CANNOT believe you asked White that question. I am not being funny but if you reaaly want to know ask your broker or ask SEO's broker...i think you are a decent guy but if i was the CEO i would really think that is a very annoying question - i mean WHAT RESPONSE WERE YOU EXPECTING???:

"Shhh bosley....i shouldn't be telling you this but we are writing it now - WAL MArt is game on, can i read you this to guage your opinion? remember, don't tell a sole until 07.00"

reserve those emails when we really need an answer! if a walmart deal is announced at 02.00 anytime i (and none of us) wouldn't care!

sorry mate, i hope you take this in the gentle ribbing that it is intended....

Actually PT - twas I who asked the question - and I sent it to the investor relations mailbox - expecting some minion to give me a stock answer

I did not expect the man himself to answer it - which maybe tells you something in itself - the fact thet they thought it was a tad sensitive - so they passed it to the top man to answer - who knows - perhaps I was being niave - but......

The actual question that I asked was:

"Can I ask you a hypothetical question please.

If SEO were to do a deal with an american Company - would the announcement be made by SEO in the UK before any announcement in the US by your US subsidiary - or would the US annouce the news first - or would it be simultaneous?

Many thanks"

Baza

Sequestor - 14 Jul 2005 17:01 - 7312 of 27111

BOS -I
realise that, but the firm have to decide if an RNS is needed, the only mandatory part is that if they DON`T issue one and it is later found that the news has affected they share price ,they may be held responsible, the US has no interest in an RNS-it`s from the LSE.

"Hypothetically it would depend on the nature of the tranasction to be announced and wether it was deemed significant enough to require an RNS".

er yes, a non answer then- hardly unexpected.

You will get nowhere with these questions lads, the LSE requires that ALL stockholders get such info. at the same time.

ps if you believe masterbarsteward and his lying ramps you will get all you deserve- time that tw$t was banned for his lies and inuendo.

proptrade - 14 Jul 2005 17:01 - 7313 of 27111

taken and enjoyed!

please sir, can i have another.

ps. sorry bosley! and baza - i am smiling now but i still stand by the fact that i would ask a broker as opposed to a company....either way looks like i need to have some chips after my egging....

bosley - 14 Jul 2005 17:31 - 7314 of 27111

proptrade, apology accepted. and baza did say he emailed investor relations(brokers). looks like there were a few crossed wires today. all good fun!!!! a small tick up was nice too. i will see what happens over the next few days and i hope i am not jumping the gun, (i.e. wrong), but i feel that wind again......

then again , it might just be last night's beans......

Does anybody know what the following are;

WN Worked Principle Transaction. When a member firm enters into a worked principle agreement for a single security this is used to notify the Exchange.

WT Worked Principle Trade.
CT Contra Trade. Used to publish a contra trade in previously automatically executed trade through the order book.

500K bought of SEO after the bell.

paulmasterson1 - 14 Jul 2005 18:44 - 7317 of 27111

Fred1New Hi,

ALL SETS volume must be declared that trading day. Almost all institutional/MM trades of more than 8 times NMS where the order is worked to improve on size or volume of trade is"held" under what's commonly known as a "worked principle agreement" ( WPA) this enables the two parties to avoid instantly reporting the trade.

On SEAQ - trades of larger than 6 times NMS are automatically held up for 1 hour, Protected trades are delayed until the MM wants to book it out ( again like a WPA the theory is that these trades are still open for adjustment)

The only real exception to all of the above is a "Block Trade" in this instance on SEAQ stocks a trade of greater than 80 times (might be 75- can't remember!) NMS allows the trade to be held up from trade reporting for 5 working days, OR until 90% of the risk has been unwound..

Hi All,

On another note, SEO is looking rather oversold, looking at the chart at the top of this page.

Bounce tomorrow ?

Seq, you're starting to be annoying. I realise you have some sort of grudge against pm1 but at least his posts contain some sort of information. You seemed determined to follow him around and blurt out immature schoolyard taunts every time he makes a post. Pleast stop - you're making a fool of yourself and starting to look obsessive.

How's that dow short going, BTW?
