Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).
Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.
cheers GF.

my only objection to the burka is that it can indicate a considerable level of subservience, but i see no reason to find it "repugnant" any more than people who are grossly obese or dress as goths or as do the orthodox hasidic jews
btw, as i understand it, the burka is not a koranic instruction, but more heeding a social conformity among many muslims

Anyone watching the Olympics , finding it hard to concentrate as the BBC are switching over events too often as well as switching between bbc1 and bbc 2 every 30 mins or so . Why can't they designate bbc2 to the Olympics and be done with it . I know there's a massive number of of events , maybe trying too many .

Just press the red button to stay on any sport you like.
Many muslim woman see the burqa as a sign of subservience, ignorance and backwardness:
Women ripped off their black burqas and defiantly smoked cigarettes, while the men cut their beards as they gave the peace sign.
After two years living under the Islamic State, the last-remaining residents of the northern Syrian city of Manbij could not quite believe it when the US-backed forces arrived to rescue them.
“Why did you take so long?” sobbed one woman, who had been trapped in her basement for a week along with her two daughters and elderly father after Isil threatened to kill anyone who tried to escape.
The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) declared the city fully liberated on Friday, saying they were “starting a new history after closing the book of darkness”.

Just because T.May is 46% to the advantage in a poll with Corbyn is not
unexpected or something to get carried away about.
So far everything is going smoothly for May, where as Corbyn is unelectable.

Great performance by team GB in rowing and cycling. With more to come today. As the Aussies like to point out, we are very good at sports where we can sit down. :) But a great performance all round.
