Bioprogress (BPRG)

scorpion - 13 Aug 2003 13:54

Bioprogress is a stock I have been in and out of quite a few times since it floated in May but not much mention here on the Investors' Room. Does anyone else follow this stock. I see it is up 1.5p today and a few good buyers seem to have appeared.

Fred1new - 20 Jul 2004 13:25 - 731 of 2372

Schizophrenia is a Psychosis not (Psycho)Neurosis, but I think some of those punting on BPRG are entitled to have these disorders some probably do. There may even be a few psychopaths amongst those trading in this company.
BPRG has probably a sensible concept inderlying its process and may eventually show decent profits.
But like with EOP, punters are taking gambles for hopefully high returns and the BBS, magazine tips and other peoples opinions should be taken with a pinch of salt. You are in the market, pick the fruit up, squeeze it, smell it, if they are grapes taste a few and then barter.

(I will now start taking the pills again!!!!)

PS AL why do you call this she!!!!!!!

Big Al - 20 Jul 2004 17:05 - 732 of 2372

Fred - it's a bitch! ;-)))

I don't think it's the pills you need to take - we need to call those nice people in the van! LOL

Just been looking at the chart. Anywher above 70p is getting sold. It's in the area that has been common since the company floated and is therefore big support/resistance. The fire has gone out somewhat intraday so don't expect it to get above short-term without something to give it a kickstart.

We might not see much until September now, so a fair chance it may drift lower on lack of news.

Can't see things any other way for now.

It's one of those shares that attract on so many levels and is difficult to resist. Its just the perfect blue-sky story. Multi-billion dollar market, huge US contracts, NASDAQ listing, mind-blowing technology etc..etc...

The perfect bull share in other words Oh the potential of it all, lets re-mortgage the house coz its gonna double in a few days, and again after that.

Of course like 99% of investors no-one's really got a f..ing clue what's it all about, nor of the timescale that's involved - 10 years if all goes well and doesn't go belly up, or some other smart company isn't working on something similar, or better.

Management in my view only adds to the hype. Haven't seen an RNS without the words 'multi-billion market' or something implied to that effect.

Call me bitter coz I admit Ive been in and out of this company for the last 6 months (normally at a loss), and I also admit Im still tempted to ride the wave to new and dizzy heights.

Sometimes though I read the postings on ADVFN, see the nutters who are ramping, and only feel despair at the whole sad and sorry tale.

But on the positive side, I'm sure the astute trader will make a lot of money out of this one in the coming months. Could even see it rise first thing tomorrow....then double in a week ....be 10 before you can get an overdraft, or sell the kids?

Big Al - 21 Jul 2004 09:38 - 734 of 2372

Excellent post, salford.

Pretty much sums it up prefectly.

emailpat - 21 Jul 2004 14:07 - 735 of 2372

salford-It's all your fault,up 5.1% ;0))

aol - 21 Jul 2004 14:10 - 736 of 2372

Big Al - looks a bit more promising for breaking the 70p mark soon. The price seems for more stable the last couple of days.

What's you take on PET now that it's fallen back a bit?

scotinvestor - 21 Jul 2004 14:22 - 737 of 2372

yeah Big Al, u were shorting BPRG when it was at 60p or so and said it had to break 66p or around that figure. Then when it goes higher, you put it up towards 70p.

Its broken that now!!!!

I bought this share hoping to hold at least 3 years as i believe BPRG will be many pounds by then. Its not going to happen overnight but once revenue comes in in years to come, everyone will see the future of the company more easily.

Regards to all BPRG holders

AdieH - 21 Jul 2004 15:33 - 738 of 2372

Moving nicely now, lets hope all this shorting has finished.

Aerotus - 21 Jul 2004 16:13 - 739 of 2372

More power to the engines cap'ain!!!!

Big Al - 21 Jul 2004 16:42 - 740 of 2372

scotinvestor - incorrect.

I was never short and stated the fact. What I did say was that it was in a downtrend and had to do certain things to break it. From memory I noted several levels all the way up to 80p. The story hasn't cxhanged on that.

I am, however, short at 75p this afternoon. Only fairly small and purely a trading speculation on it being up 12% at that point, so don't get you knickers in a twist.

i just get fed up seeing de-rampers on so many threads these days. IO have quite a large portflio these days and most of my share tips seem to have 1 or 2 de-rampers on them.
Sure, if the share aint doing well cos of bad news then fair enough but BPRG aint done anything wrong yet. And yet on Advfn we have about 5000 posts of garbage every day.
Thankfully most of my other shares have a lot more sensible people on it. Dont know how these people can be bothered checking all these comments out all day every day.

Big Al - 21 Jul 2004 21:48 - 742 of 2372

scotinvestor

There are plenty of places to discuss shares rationally. You're obviously hanging out on the wrong ones by the sound of it. It's a couple of weeks since I first encountered the ADVFN BPRG thread and I have never seen anything like it. These people are a bunch of complete nutters who shouldn't be allowed near the market. Prices go up and down, yet if things go against there are always "dark forces" at work. Bulls**t!

Rampers and de-rampers co-exist because there are opposing views on a share price direction at any given moment, that's why some sell and some buy.

I really wish people would accept the market for what it is - a MARKET. This implies there is bartering over a share or two! I really don't see why people can't see this.

Are they really that thick?

No offence to your good self, simply an overview.

Cheers
Al

GUARDIAN NEWSPAPER=remours the bioprogress is to appoint UBS as it joint broker.

Fred1new - 22 Jul 2004 12:06 - 746 of 2372

I thought Bliar was a conservative amongst other things. But I didn't know he was an Emperor as well.

I suppose he now moving on to he next acting role as a crusader. I wish he would become a martyr and bug--- off.

Big Al - 22 Jul 2004 12:44 - 747 of 2372

scotinvestor - 23 Jul 2004 16:42 - 749 of 2372

BPRG up today again. Been doing well recently for a change.

Notice the quietness on this thread when that happens! That tells you something

AdieH - 23 Jul 2004 16:44 - 750 of 2372

Yeah totally agree, same with most boards, so many shorters on this bloody share... Long term hold.
