RTD - Why? (RTD)

Nitefly - 15 Sep 2003 10:55

Why are we again at 10.5p bid?

It doesn't add up...

Good Results + Strong buying pre results + Christmas online buying soon = Price drop

Then again some companies that have debt for equity hanging in the balance, poor results and bankruptcy around the corner and they go up!

Why sell now at a loss?

Wont that be a kick in the teeth when we see 13.5p 14p again!

Best of luck all.

justmoney - 14 Feb 2004 22:08 - 732 of 2406

I have been watching this share 5 years now. I am starting to go grey, not with worry though...things have taken a turning point.

This was well oversold. The MMs have tried flushing out a few sellers by pushing sub 20p yesterday which I watched with interest. There is support at 20p and it id steady. A fall below this was not sustained. With the imminent results and positive feedback this from 20p this share will go to 28p before it goes to 20p.

amardev - 14 Feb 2004 23:17 - 733 of 2406

Bought back into this share quite recently.... Large quantity.
I would certainly like to see it at your price target Justmoney.
Best of luck to all holders.

blakester - 16 Feb 2004 11:07 - 735 of 2406

Are we thinking good or great here?

apple - 16 Feb 2004 11:24 - 736 of 2406

This has sparked some buying & pushed up the price.

A simple date announcement attracts attention.

washlander - 16 Feb 2004 13:50 - 737 of 2406

From the figures that are available another 25% mark up on 22p is not unreasonable.

washlander - 16 Feb 2004 14:05 - 738 of 2406

the 497850 sale shown was actually done an hour ealier at 12.53. These money makers are a real slippery lot.

amardev - 16 Feb 2004 14:23 - 739 of 2406

Washlander..........
Are you suggesting that the trade was actually a Buy.
I know that with some of my other stocks, I've had my buy reported later as a sell.
You comments welcome ...... and good luck to all holders.
Regards

washlander - 16 Feb 2004 14:29 - 740 of 2406

It would appear that way. On my level 2 it showed up as a late trade by an hour which was a buy price at the time

amardev - 16 Feb 2004 20:10 - 741 of 2406

Greetings to all holders......
Closes at it's previous high.
I know we're all looking for a decisive breakthrough.
Javid....... would love to hear your views on any patterns between now
and ResulTs Day.

overgrowth - 16 Feb 2004 20:23 - 742 of 2406

Apple - not just a simple date announcent.

Various sages were guessing at the date being more like 14th March. To announce results this early, there must be plenty of good news in there.

justmoney - 16 Feb 2004 21:26 - 743 of 2406

I have been looking at the five year chart for RTD and NSB and if you ignore that great big blip when the tech boom took place the price of RTD then was about a pound.

I would imagine they are in a better position now than then so hopefully should over the next couple of years see a retrace back to those levels.

Am I missing something or RTD now turning over more and making more profit than pre tech boom?

Tokyo - 17 Feb 2004 09:01 - 744 of 2406

As I type it is up to 23.25 bid, the build up to March 2nd is going to be very interesting. What will also be interesting is whether people will hold after the results or sell for the profit. Any thoughts?

washlander - 17 Feb 2004 09:22 - 745 of 2406

There will be a lot of profit taking. But by then there will be known resitance points. Afterall it has tested the 23-24 range before. The next resistance point up will be 25. At least until the results are either nearly due or when they do become known. Either way a lot of people will lighten their holdings. I think to sell all would be extremely shortsighted, but what the heck do I know. lol

Douggie - 17 Feb 2004 09:34 - 746 of 2406

mornin all........;-))))

apple - 17 Feb 2004 12:50 - 747 of 2406

overgrowth

I hope that you are right.

The date is just over a week earlier than last year but I can't really see why this should be taken as a positive indicator.

There must be more to it than that ie. some real info must have leaked out.

amardev - 17 Feb 2004 14:10 - 748 of 2406

I agree with Washlander......
For the rest of the year I think we're gonna see the share price rise.
But there are going to be bouts of profit taking along the way.
Remember where the share price has come from (3p in less a year).
I do think that those levels are difficult to predict.
I have seen paper profits evapourate very quickly....... so if you're
happy with yours.....Bank it.
This is not intended as advice...I'm not regulated by FSA etc.etc.
Good luck to all RTD holders.

overgrowth - 17 Feb 2004 20:23 - 749 of 2406

Armadev,

Probably best to add a caveat - to make sure that you don't keep looking at the share price once you've sold, unless you're happy to buy in again at the higher prices.

There's nothing worse than banking your profit and watching the price rise 3x again - that's speaking from first hand experience with LCI.

Apple,

At the very least, an early date confirms that there is no hidden bad news - this always causes delays (because it takes longer to "massage" the figures).

It's gone really quiet on this thread.
We had lots of great banter about this stock when it was trading between
15/20pence.
Would love to hear comments/views from all you traders/holders etc.
Thanks in anticipation.

washlander - 18 Feb 2004 09:50 - 751 of 2406
