Nigel Farage going to America and standing on the same platform has Trump was absolute madness. After he and most of his supporters and all the media told Obama to keep his nose out of our Referendum. What the hell made him do it , why wasn't he advised not to.

I know what you mean aldwickk they get into some silly situations all of them , if they just sat down and assessed what their objectives are and then what not to do . Guess they can't STFU .

Obama came over here and peculiarly told us to vote 'Remain'. ie. give up our democratic rights and stay in the EU and let the EU tell us what we can and can't do.

Would America ever let itself be governed like that? Not a chance in hell!

So Farage was telling the 'Non-Obama lot' (ie. Trump and the Republicans) not to vote for Obama and what he stands for. More specifically, not to vote for Hilary Clinton and what she stands for - and he went on to describe how he would not himself vote for Hilary even if 'they paid him to do so' - or 'even if Hilary herself paid him to do so'.

Menwhile, Trump was smiling away and listening to all of this Farage stuff. The bottom line being, that Farage was indirectly proffering his support for Trump.

Farage's popularity in the States must now be massive - much higher now than it ever was.

They like listening to his oratory just like some of us do. :-)

Seems to me he ran rings around the establishment.

Farage may well have partly caused the referendum, but Boris was more responsible for the leave victory

farage is a knobhead because he hadn't the nous to see that aligning himself with trump - merely appearing on the same platform and trumpeting (sorry!) is that - sets the perception that he is every bit as nasty and bigoted as trump

basic common sense should have also told him that he had no right to start interfering in american politics and electioneering, any more than did obama with the referendum

Theresa May will trigger Brexit negotiations without Commons vote

Theresa May will not hold a parliamentary vote on Brexit before opening negotiations to formally trigger Britain's withdrawal from the European Union, The Telegraph has learned.

Opponents of Brexit claim that because the EU referendum result is advisory it must be approved by a vote in the Commons before Article 50 - the formal mechanism to leave the EU - is triggered

However, in a move which will cheer Eurosceptics, The Telegraph has learned that Mrs May will invoke Article 50 without a vote in Parliament

It had been suggested - by Tony Blair, the former Labour Prime Minister, and Owen Smith, the Labour leadership candidate, among others - that Remain-supporting MPs could use a Parliamentary vote to stop Brexit.

But sources say that because Mrs May believes that “Brexit means Brexit” she will not offer opponents the opportunity to stall Britain's withdrawal from the EU.

A Downing Street source said: “The Prime Minister has been absolutely clear that the British public have voted and now she will get on with delivering Brexit.”

Mrs May has consulted Government lawyers who have told the Prime Minister she has the executive power to invoke Article 50 and begin the formal process of exiting the European Union without a vote in Parliament.

Her decision will come as a blow to Remain campaigners, who had been hoping to use Parliament to delay or halt Brexit entirely.
