The red spot storm on Jupiter could be a massive volcano permanently erupting from a deep solid core; influencing high winds and enormous gravitational pull is distorting the colouring on the surface of the planet.

If you are ever in St Malo again, walk through the Yachting harbour and climb from the sea wall up the mount where there is a campsite. But also free for general public.

From the mount you can overlook the whole town and walk a short distance
to the old fort and German wartime fortification which look down onto the "old" town and harbour, as well as some beautiful bays and estuary.

Some very nice looking restaurants and boats in that little area.

our cycling had finished saturday afternoon in quimperle, so we drove up to st-malo to take the pain out of catching the ferry the next morning
legs were tired all round, and it was a 15 minute walk from st-servan to the old city ...... more in order were a hot shower and a quiet drink before an excellent dinner at "le spinnaker" - too expensive for you fred! - "the velvet" is immediately opposite
