Please report bugs and enhancements (BUGS)

andy.lovell - 04 Nov 2002 11:26

If you're having any problems, or want to suggest some improvements, please post below!

Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.

The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.

This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)

If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

I did a search for all stocks for which
MAX(price) / MIN(price) > 300
in an attempt to find stocks which have the above price scale
problems.
There are actually quite a few of these, but mostly because of the
recent state of the market (i.e stocks plummetting). The list
might actually be of interest to traders, so I've uploaded it
here.
Did also find some anomalies with historical data this way, which I'll
investigate.

Not sure about your fix for JEL (1 year chart)...

Felix(MoneyAM) - 24 Feb 2003 16:24 - 736 of 7315

The graphs are now correctly scaled, but suggest a rather curious
history for the company. My JEL graph looks the same as SSRT's,
nothingventured's, and iii.co.uk's...

Just to double-check, is this the JEL chart you get?

draw?startDate=24%2F02%2F02&scheme=Stand

Felix(MoneyAM) - 24 Feb 2003 18:04 - 738 of 7315

If you draw an 'All Data' graph for JEL, the stock appears to have
become much less active mid-2000, then flatlined for the last year,
as confirmed by the graphs on the other places I cite above...

Have fixed up the historical data for the graphs I found by above
search technique, so in particular these ones are now OK:
DUC, FCLW, UTC, MBF, POP, BVF.

If anyone finds any other historical charts that look like they need
attention, please let me know.

Felix

I still think there ought to be some sort of line, albeit horizontal, somewhere on the chart in post 736, not to mention numbers down the side!

A couple of comments on the indices page:

1. There is a section for "iShares indices". iShares are not indices but tradeable shares tracking the index, similar to QQQ, which, by the way, also seems to appear amongst the US indices.

2. What with the different opening hours and the delay on some indices it is essential I think to show the time of the last update on each index.

3. Is Stockholm really down -70.6% and Belgium up 510.2%? I'm trading the wrong exchange :-)

Nick,

Top % Losers is showing both Euro and LSE based stocks.

I have spoken to our technical team and they are aware of the issue and are working to have the display present only LSE stocks.

Hope this helps

Kayak : off to Brussels by the next plane. We will take a look and I agree with the time stamps.

Nick; The companies you are seeing have a dual listing so will appear. We are looking at excluding these in due course!!

Refreshing the futures page sometimes (very rarely but has happened several times) brings up the front page instead.

Kayak - 26 Feb 2003 14:10 - 747 of 7315

Futures page:

1. I'm getting a new login page when clicking on any of the headings on the top row. This one says NOT logged in, unlike the ones we were getting on the BB some time ago.

2. The main futures page scrolls in a window within the main window. This is annoying since refresh loses one's scrolled position on the page, which it would not do if it was the main window that was being scrolled. I can't see any obvious reason to use an inner window. Any chance of changing it?

Andy

Just to let you know that I haven't had any login problems since my last complaint a week ago. Looks as if you've done the biz.

Cheers. :o)

MoneyAM
I need a favour.... Since Monday I have not been able to get MoneyAM at work. I work for a bank and we have a very restrictive internet access policy. We use a product called Websense to determine what catagory of site you can or cant visit. Websense is a widely used application. MoneyAM is classified as 'Society and Lifestyles', which is not allowed in my Bank. ADVFN is classified as 'Financial Data and Services', which is allowed. On the Websense web site(www.websense.com) there is a lookup to check how a site is classified. There is then a button to complete a short form if you think it is classified wrongly. I have already completed the form to try to get you classified as 'Financial Data & Services', I would be greatful if you could do the same.

Please E.Mail me if any problems.

Thanks
