Bioprogress is a stock I have been in and out of quite a few times since it floated in May but not much mention here on the Investors' Room. Does anyone else follow this stock. I see it is up 1.5p today and a few good buyers seem to have appeared.

Big Al - looks a bit more promising for breaking the 70p mark soon. The price seems for more stable the last couple of days.
What's you take on PET now that it's fallen back a bit?

yeah Big Al, u were shorting BPRG when it was at 60p or so and said it had to break 66p or around that figure. Then when it goes higher, you put it up towards 70p.
Its broken that now!!!!
I bought this share hoping to hold at least 3 years as i believe BPRG will be many pounds by then. Its not going to happen overnight but once revenue comes in in years to come, everyone will see the future of the company more easily.
Regards to all BPRG holders

scotinvestor - incorrect.
I was never short and stated the fact. What I did say was that it was in a downtrend and had to do certain things to break it. From memory I noted several levels all the way up to 80p. The story hasn't cxhanged on that.
I am, however, short at 75p this afternoon. Only fairly small and purely a trading speculation on it being up 12% at that point, so don't get you knickers in a twist.

i just get fed up seeing de-rampers on so many threads these days. IO have quite a large portflio these days and most of my share tips seem to have 1 or 2 de-rampers on them.
Sure, if the share aint doing well cos of bad news then fair enough but BPRG aint done anything wrong yet. And yet on Advfn we have about 5000 posts of garbage every day.
Thankfully most of my other shares have a lot more sensible people on it. Dont know how these people can be bothered checking all these comments out all day every day.

There are plenty of places to discuss shares rationally. You're obviously hanging out on the wrong ones by the sound of it. It's a couple of weeks since I first encountered the ADVFN BPRG thread and I have never seen anything like it. These people are a bunch of complete nutters who shouldn't be allowed near the market. Prices go up and down, yet if things go against there are always "dark forces" at work. Bulls**t!
Rampers and de-rampers co-exist because there are opposing views on a share price direction at any given moment, that's why some sell and some buy.
I really wish people would accept the market for what it is - a MARKET. This implies there is bartering over a share or two! I really don't see why people can't see this.
Are they really that thick?
No offence to your good self, simply an overview.
Cheers
Al

I suppose he now moving on to he next acting role as a crusader. I wish he would become a martyr and bug--- off.

BPRG up today again. Been doing well recently for a change.
Notice the quietness on this thread when that happens! That tells you something

I think that it is worth taking a few moments to see where BPRG are and the current influences on the share price.
The court case is over. The SP low of the year was on the opening day of the case, which as I have said before was not a coincidence and since then the shorters have closed their positions and made their money. The MMs are now trying very hard to gather stock as are some of the institutions who through the direction of CS have made a great deal of money on this stock both on the way up and on the way down. The irony now is that whilst they are trying to gather stock there will this time, be no discounted placement for them to enjoy, no panic sales from medium to long termers, as those that might have sold have already done so and the others are going to hang on or even add to their holdings. The MMs and the institutions have now got to chase each other to find stock from a market where there are no sellers of size.
Let's now put in the fabled BN, which whilst we are on the subject I would have to say has been a lesson to GH in how not to handle PR/IR . Clearly, the decision to wait until he has the 100% of news has been a bad tactical mistake, which has let in the shorters and caused the price to drop to a totally unrealistic level. I am of the view that if the BN would have been issued with what they had in March the SP would have remained in the 1.20 - 1.40 range and the extra news and figures could have been added in due course. Note for GH - don't ever again mess around with dates to the market, you are now playing in a much bigger league.
The introduction of a quality broker, whomever it might be, for the US and other markets will add great credibility and will again generate retail demand for shares. Also these top brokers will make sure that they have a direct contribution to PR/ IR and that the likes of Bankside will either be sidelined or receive much stricter vetting.
That all sounds nice and positive and should shortly get the SP back to over the 1.00 level. Now let's have a look at a few decent announcements with figures, the move to the US markets, presentations to US institutions, a BN from the new broker - all of which are happening. From there we can start to see why the UK institutions and MMs are now trying very hard to gather stock. Isn't it ironic that having raped the company with their short termism, they are now trying to look for the medium term and can't find the stock. They have given nothing to the company and they deserve absolutely nothing as they are not professional money managers. The US managers will be much more interesting to watch.
If I was a tactician all the above makes a very interesting scenario. If I was a competitor or had a business operating within this sector when would I wish to make a bid for the company ? I would do it after the court case has been completed when I would have an idea of how BPRG are placed and before the move to the US market with all the hoo haa of the new broker, more customer announcements, a BN and all the added publicity.
Finally, we have to ask is, if all or even some of the above happens why would one sell any stock ? The institutions haven't got any to sell, the retail investors are going to hold on, the MMs are desperate to gather stock and the original investors BM and MB are not going to their maths below 4.00 - 5.00. In my view all this means that the SP high for the year has not yet been reached and that BPRG is now very much in play.

Thanks for posting, interesting reading, seems the shorters have moved off, on Ample they just disappeared (wouldn't answer any questions posed to them). I have been saying they are shorters but they deny this, now where are they... Glad I held and added whilst the price was so
low.
