Morning all, sorry for blundering in at this time, hope I didn't wake anyone?
Is Dotel about?

STORMCALLER - 11 Jun 2004 00:29 - 7345 of 23498

Socrates,
We seem to pass like ships in the night, finally, to be in your presence, is a privelege long anticipated. It is with regret then, that I bring sad revelation, can't do the lottery thing, sorry. When we take our vows, we have to opt for spatial or time based conduits, I am afraid I adopted the spatial discipline which, despite the assertion of space-time being the true fourth dimension, has certain physical limits, to allow trans-dimensional movement the applied time-base has to be linearised, to obviate the inherent risk of appearing in a dimension when you don't exist, this allows you choose to exist anywhere at a given instant, but only in ONE place, if the time linearity is removed, you could arrive at a time that you don't exist, then you wouldn't,

STORMCALLER - 11 Jun 2004 00:43 - 7346 of 23498

Par for the course I suppose, my timing is way off, so much so that I have to return to where I am not and have never been,

I have got my barge boards and soffit 'done' and new guttering just in time for a thunderstorm! It took the man over a week to do it, at least he took care and did a great job and charged a lot less than the big boys and his turnover is below the VAT limit.

daves dazzlers - 11 Jun 2004 12:18 - 7348 of 23498

nice one.

stockbunny - 11 Jun 2004 15:03 - 7349 of 23498

Ah Snowie you're a diamond! (Freshly baked do'nuts just for you...)

Stormchaser..I mean Stormcaller...Have you considered part-time script
writing? Shame TNG is not on any more as you could have earned a fortune!
(Anyone not familiar with TNG ((perish the thought!)) it's (StarTrek) The
Next Generation.

Well I'm having a quiet sit down and a large slab of cake please with
my cup of tea as I have finally won the current battle with the hedge,
it's totally clipped now from head to foot, a brief victory no doubt
before the next lot of rain!

I see Bill Oddie is not running as much bunny footage as he might,
great programme mind you, but would benefit from more bobbing bunnies!

optomistic - 11 Jun 2004 15:38 - 7350 of 23498

Hi Bunny, good to hear you have won the battle with the hedge. As you know it is only the battle. Only a chain saw will bring the conflict to an end.
Our bunny has had to have his teeth sorted at the vet, I hope your teeth are in better con than his :-))

stockbunny - 11 Jun 2004 15:40 - 7351 of 23498

Thankfully yes but over grown teeth can be a big problem I'm told.
How's life with you this afternoon Opto?

optomistic - 11 Jun 2004 15:46 - 7352 of 23498

OK bunny just pottering and screen watching today PTG on a bit of a roll at the moment, need a big winner, this could be it, I hope!!

snoball - 11 Jun 2004 15:59 - 7353 of 23498

The best garden tool I bought was a hedge trimmer.
What used to take all afternoon now takes a few minutes
leaving more time for freshly baked doughnuts and tea.

Still haven't finished the porch though. :-(
It's been on 'hold'until I can get enthusiastic again.

stockbunny - 11 Jun 2004 15:59 - 7354 of 23498

I hope it comes good (PTG) for you Opto - fingers crossed.

I have been watching ANL in the hope of some real 'mutter from the gutter'
positive movement on this possible bid from Spain, but it seems very
lame at the moment. However it is moving up albeit slowly...
Ditto on MLN which also is going nowhere fast but again advancing slowly,
movement not helped by going ex-div on Wed, but a handy div in a few weeks.
CTT now needs watching due to investigation thingie on doorstep lending...

Apart from that it's been a 'blank' week for me in other words nothing
has moved enough to make selling a viable possibility. Could do with
next week showing some more positive stuff!

stockbunny - 11 Jun 2004 16:05 - 7355 of 23498

Hello Snowie - you mean one of those electric ones..used to have one
but it was years ago and it was too heavy for me to swing about, so I'm
back in the stone age with hand-shears...I jest not!

(edit) MTN on the post above not MLN - keep muddling the epic!!

optomistic - 11 Jun 2004 16:10 - 7356 of 23498

Don't have either of these Bunny,I think ANL will come through on its merits if not on a bid, would be happy to hold these. MTN sp seems to me to have a lot of support from a potential bid, not too sure I would be comfortable with this. But dont let me influence you I have been wrong so many times :-(

stockbunny - 11 Jun 2004 16:22 - 7357 of 23498

Well I nearly hesitated with MTN as I am trying to grab a second
bite of the cherry with them - held them before and made a profit on
bid speculation, sold before they dropped like a stone. So I'm hoping
to repeat the performance...cheeky I know! Recent divi announced 5.4p
so a bit in the coffers in the meantime.
ANL is good on the divi front currently so 'paying its way'....
And don't worry I think the majority of us get it wrong from time to time
(I certainly do!) as long as it balancing in the end that's all that matters.

optomistic - 11 Jun 2004 16:32 - 7358 of 23498

Market almost closed now, whats for tea?....please

Fundamentalist - 11 Jun 2004 16:37 - 7359 of 23498

Opto

PTG looking very rosy - people now paying over 7p for em!!!

Jeff

you collected your winnings yet - Ill have a guiness if you're buying

stockbunny - 11 Jun 2004 16:41 - 7360 of 23498

(Consults contents of fridge...)
Umm...
Not a lot by the looks of it...sausages, potatoes & tomatoes..
How about...
Sausages and mash or could whip up some sausages rolls....
(yes there are a lot of sausages - both pork and venison ones)
or...A savoury plait
(basically a fancy sausage roll with chopped onion and herbs added)
Grilled tommies or tommie salad...potato salad...

I emailed GD a couple of days ago as he's gone temporarily AWOL
but no response, seems he's done no ordering on the food front.

zarif - 11 Jun 2004 16:46 - 7361 of 23498

Good evening all, another great weekend ahead. Tomorrow morning sees the trooping of the Colour and that is a "must see" for me.

Stormy
Thanks for that wonderfully lucid explanation of time travel, total cobblers of course, but wonderful nonetheless.

snoball - 11 Jun 2004 16:51 - 7363 of 23498

Why are they trooping the Colour tomorrow Socs?
