Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).
Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.
cheers GF.

I see the "ex-Egg Head", C J de Mooi, has been arrested for murder.
The quiz champion wrote in his autobiography last year that he "fully suspected" he had killed the man, who he claims to have thrown into a canal after being threatened with a knife in the Dutch capital in 1988.
Dutch police promised to investigate the claims, and yesterday de Mooi was reportedly arrested at Heathrow airport.
He now faces extradition to the Netherlands.
In his book CJ, released last year, de Mooi claimed the elderly man approached him with a knife while he was inside a phone box.
De Mooi, who was sleeping rough at the time, then claimed to have knocked the knife out the mugger's hand and punched him in the face, before throwing him into a canal.
The 46-year-old - who shot to fame as one of the quiz experts on BBC1 show Eggheeads - wrote: "“I was in a phone box and this old guy, obviously a massive drug user, came up behind me with a knife in his hand.
"He told me to turn around, open my bag and give him whatever was inside.
"I punched him so hard in the face, knocked the knife out of his hand and threw him in the canal.
"I fully suspect I killed him. I’ve no idea what happened to him.”
De Mooi also wrote it was "the one incident of my life I do regret", adding it was "one of the main reasons why I abhor all violence".

Andy Burnham: "Here's a novel thought - how about we use Twitter to attack the Tories" Right, that will do it. The Tories running from a horde of twits. Makes a change from the Edna from Hartlepool messages at PMQ's I suppose.
Now here's a novel thought - how about they recruit people who have actually worked in their lives and can talk sensible policies that the majority can support. Fat chance.

Tories breath huge sigh of relief...
Corbyn Mark II looks like a leader – he must set out a clear, coherent vision
Hope for the future lies with critical friends who cheer when the leadedship gets it right and point out when it gets it wrong

any non hard left supporters may have cause for concern and worry depending on how matters evolve with regard to the selection of the shadow cabinet
unless TM cocks things up badly (fairly unlikely) labour may well be unelectable at the next GE, but it's further down the line that one needs to look

They've been there before with Michael Foot. The Worzel Gummidge of his day. The Social Dems broke away at that time. Will there be a repeat?

And then came Thatcher followed by Major and loss of "power" for 13years. With tory party split similar to the one they have now over Europe.
No planning for Brexit, now ideas looking for the keys to exit, while at the same time hoping they can't find them.
Mind the investments through the Cayman Isles and Panama will be easier and scrutiny less.
A longer period of corrupt government and media manipulation.
Interesting to watch, but I wouldn't celebrate too soon.

What's Kinnock going to do now Freda, jobs for the boys stuffed in Euro Land, join Ed Balls on Come Dancing or have a go at The Great British Bake Off? Could always give Jezza a hand with his spuds on the allotment I suppose. :0)

Fred , the Labour party they lost power to for 13 years were nothing like Corbyn and his loonie left.
Party has been hijacked by left wing idiots now and is unelectable.

corbyn and his hard left supporters may well be unelectable in the next GE, though stranger things have happened
however, at some point in the future the country will decide it wants a change of scenery ..... it is at that juncture that we had all better hope that the militant unions and their comrades, who currently have control of the labour party, will have been forced out ....... red robbo, derek hatton and others met their ends in due course and i dare say that will happen once more
it's ironic of course that hatton subsequently became a wealthy property developer! .... perhaps he just grew up and decided that our flawed capitalist system was a lot more palatable than something only just right of the north korean communist system

No, he swallowed his principles like egocentric con artists do. Like a lot of tory camp followers.
But I forgot many tories would dispute there are such things as principles.
The values which they may have are based on cash values only.
Shallow narrow-minded narcissistic thinking.
-=-==-=
But, Manuel, without looking it up, what are the Trotskyist principles that Corbyn is actually espousing?
Or are the tory PR agents smearing as per usual?
Why are some tory diehards demonstrating their fear of Corbyn's success?
What has he got, that the tory leadership doesn't have.
Is it honesty, decency, and sincerity?
He seems to have a lot of the public following who respect him, even if they question his leadership qualities.
-===-=
Ps.
He may have to be resurrected as it seems T. May's honeymoon is over and the diversion of attention on Corbyn is beginning to refocus on May's management and policy failings and party splits like the good old days of Thatcher, Major, Lawson, and Howe.
Even Boris doesn't know what her intentions are.
It would be laughable if it wasn't important.
