THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

try doing what?
squeezing or not squeezing the pustulent pimple?

an answer of yes or no will NOT suffice :-)

Fred1new - 11 Oct 2016 16:31 - 73854 of 81564

Don't be difficult!

cynic - 11 Oct 2016 16:37 - 73855 of 81564

There are a lot of pustules on this thread, but Jimmy isn't one of them.

Dylan Thomas, 1914 - 1953

Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Dylan Thomas, 1914 - 1953 ... a life so short, but so very bright

I don't watch them anymore, its a waste of time,

cynic - 12 Oct 2016 08:25 - 73862 of 81564

Laurenrose - 12 Oct 2016 09:42 - 73863 of 81564

englands performance in the first off was terrible Sturridge to lazy to run he is the worst player I have seen in any England team he just stands and waits looking for is own glory , get him out of our team we will never win with him in the team we may as well play with 10 players

ExecLine - 12 Oct 2016 10:26 - 73864 of 81564

I switched England off to watch Westworld on Sky Atlantic

It's a sci-fi western thriller. If you 'go with the flow' of it, it's pretty good.

Anyone else watching it?

ExecLine - 12 Oct 2016 10:27 - 73865 of 81564

Agreed about 'selfish' Sturridge. He's definitely not a good team player.

Time to BOYCOTT the Guilty party >>> UNILEVER

Unilever have been putting pressure on the Supermarkets to rise the prices of their products by 10%. Just another brute force from a EU company. Blaming the weak currency when this is a smokescreen to raise prices, as some of the products are made in the UK.

By stopping buying their products is one way of getting the message, sales weakening, less profits, etc.

The best would be not to buy any of UNILEVER products naturally....... Ariel, marmite, Axe / Lynx, Blue Band, Dermalogica, Dove, Flora, Heartbrand, Hellmann's, Knorr, Lipton, Lux, Magnum, Omo, Rexona, Surf, Sunsilk....

Laurenrose - 13 Oct 2016 08:03 - 73867 of 81564

yes stop buying their products I will buy no more

IS DEMOCRACY IN THE UK FINISHED LISTENING TO THE PARLIAMENT PROGRAME YESTERDAY ,

it appears that our MPS think we should not be listened too .

and the vote to leave the eu should not be taken as a serous vote .
so is it now pointless to vote for anything again ,
mps who do not except the result ate a damn disgrace full of their own shit .

we may as well stop voting as its pointless

jimmy b - 13 Oct 2016 09:15 - 73869 of 81564

No ,we are winning at last .

Laurenrose - 13 Oct 2016 09:22 - 73870 of 81564

jimmy the commons yesterday 86% of mps put two fingers up the voters

saying take no notice the voters are stupid and did ot not what they voted for
bastards

jimmy b - 13 Oct 2016 09:26 - 73871 of 81564

They won't get it (the vote) ,it's Brexit .
We now know who the culprits are .

iturama - 13 Oct 2016 09:26 - 73872 of 81564

Re Tesco. I'm not sure that it is up to Tesco to decide the prices that a supplier charges. That sounds like Venezuela. Eventually the shelves are empty. Better to take the Unilever products as consignment stock and, instead of the usual "now 10% cheaper", advertise them as "now 10% more expensive!" alongside cheaper alternatives. Then let the consumer decide.
