Dil - If you own two houses, I sell one of them (without your permission) for 2/3 market value.... that'll depress the price of houses in the area to below 1/2 what they are worth .... at which point I'll buy it back and give it back to you, making 1/6 of it's value for me ..... you did nothing except watch someone else make money by destroying the price of your houses ...... ok with that?

Also , you sell at the market price not 2/3 of what you think the market price should be.

And if my house price is going down so is everyone elses falling at the same rate so no problem if I did decide to move. This is not the case with shares so its a bit of a crappy comparison.

i read somewhere that when mdx give news, sp falls a little.....and then it goes up a few days later.

also, i have noticed on each of last few years that mdx sp goes up in 2nd half of year.......and trend on jan sp thereabout from 2005 to 2008 is rising each year.

also mdx are now at strongest as going back to 2004, it was 150p and 6 million deficit.....now we are forecasting around 12 million profit for this upcoming year and 2009 / 2010 should be much much stronger due to lots of product launches etc

ps: house prices dont fall by same margin....just like shares.
scotland house prices were still going UP TILL 2 MONTHS AGO. in fact there has been huge increase in 1 place i know of in early part of year too. last 2 months i think its 1.5% down so hardly something to panic about. maybe its all the undesirables that r driving house prices down elsewhere.....does that include welsh, hmmm? lol

agree tabby that rise last week was too sudden and this was a reason for mm's etc to drive sp down today......theres more short termers too now.......i'm long termer like u tabby
