Margreb Minerals, m.cap of 3m, $1bn in the ground (MMS)

Still Waiting - 11 Mar 2007 15:05

Latest investor report:-

http://www.maghrebminerals.co.uk/documents/maghreb/Feb2007/February%202007%20Maghreb%20Minerals%20Presentation%20Indaba%20Mining%20Confernce%20South%20Africa.pdf

With MMS recently concluding deals in Tunisia it has estimated reserves and disused mines with a value in excess of $1billion.

The company is in discussions with JV partners that will bring in the capital to re-start mining quickly.

What value would you place on a company with value in the ground.

With a market cap. of under 4m this looks way too low and should fly with a JV in place.

The share is tightly held with a listed Canadian mining group owning 24%.

Positive news could see the SP multi-bag within days...

Not one for widows or orphans but a small stake could pay dividends in any portfolio.

Outlook
-------

The Group's focus in the immediate future is on its Tunisian assets and in
particular on those most likely to be able to be converted into producing mines
in the near term.

Now that the important agreements on the two former mine concessions at Bou
Jabeur and Fej Lahdoum have been signed with the O.N.M in Tunisia together with
the acquisition of the fluorite permit at Zriba (Zaghouan), Maghreb is focussing
on the "advanced exploration" opportunities that these permits provide. This
will be followed in due course by exploration on its other permits including
Djebel Fej Lahdoum, Djebel Goraa, Lorbeus and Ouled Moussa.

The Group has been approached by, and opened discussions with, a number of
parties who have expressed interest in entering into varying commercial
relationships to exploit the different mining concessions and exploration
permits held by the Group.

kuzemko,

They never announced the scoping study would be finished by end of june. They said the drilling programme would be finished by end of june, and then the scoping study would begin.
Today's announcement says it has now begun and will be ready in October.

now at all time low

kuzemko - 18 Jul 2008 17:11 - 80 of 189

weak Zinc andLead prices are probably the reason for further drop.

scotinvestor - 18 Jul 2008 17:45 - 81 of 189

was wondering when u were coming back.

sp is now less than cash holdings / assets......sp has been dropped to the floor

kuzemko - 18 Jul 2008 19:56 - 82 of 189

yes its looking very cheap.
but, metal prices came down fast.since mms did their estimate valuation."production of zinc is becoming uneconomical."
lets hope that by the time mms gets the stuff out of ground the prices and demand rebounces.
i'm willing to hold

scotinvestor - 19 Jul 2008 00:36 - 83 of 189

one of zinc news reports suggests end of 2009 zinc will zoom up due to china demand etc........they did say plus or minus 6 months....so could be in a years time onwards that zinc price will be going high again......which is best possible time for mms rather than just now

not much point in selling now as it cant get much lower

martinl2 - 20 Jul 2008 14:19 - 84 of 189

Prices, especially Lead, have recovered a bit in the last week though. Lead up around 20% and Zinc up around 12% from recent lows. But I do think we need to see a lasting rising trend in these prices in order to bring back sentiment in the near term.

kuzemko - 04 Aug 2008 10:33 - 87 of 189

some positive news,
1-barclay plc 5% holding
2-new experience director
-Zinc prices are on the upswing again with fresh demand from steel companies and buying by funds after prices dipped. There are indications of supply concerns
-Lead's strength seems to be waning, with prices failing to keep up with the up trend line and now dropping further.
hopefully we'll see little recovery in mms back to 5p soon???

kuzemko - 07 Aug 2008 10:14 - 88 of 189

nice buying volumes for past couple of days???

kuzemko - 13 Aug 2008 22:06 - 89 of 189

Technical Analysis - Zinc - Weak, oversold, but trying to rise
Lead's consolidation tested the lower levels of what we would defined as a correction from which it can rebound from with prices retreating

news overdue here...

lets hope they can finally get this going after all the digging.

martinl2 - 14 Aug 2008 08:56 - 91 of 189

All metals gone down for the last few days with the strengthening $. However, many saying this $ strength will not last.

Anyway we have a kind of hedge in MMS in that as the $ gets stronger against the , any valuations or projected revenue amounts in $ translate into more and thus make the market cap in look even cheaper.

Still Waiting - 15 Aug 2008 20:21 - 92 of 189

nice little tick up today, with results due out soon we may hear more about eventual mining developments and possible JV.

Still an outside chance that firebird might fund the Zriba mine.

kuzemko - 18 Aug 2008 09:21 - 93 of 189

its looking positive
