anyone for Zi Med. ? (ZIM)

skyhigh - 15 Dec 2003 16:16

Is anyone into Zi Medical like me ? Gone up a penny today to 7.6p on strength of Sunday Telegraph article - it's looking better, at long last !

willfagg - 22 Oct 2004 09:54 - 74 of 103

hilldee, you seem to know about this one. Do you know why the price has droppeed back recently?

willfagg - 22 Oct 2004 15:28 - 75 of 103

down another smidge today....thouht this looked a flyer ...anyone know anything?any notes in IC or Shares Mag today.they dont sell themin HK airport

willfagg - 24 Oct 2004 11:34 - 76 of 103

Interesting to note ZIM down 20% since 11 Oct, which is the date the deal with Braun was announced.ZIM to develop product nad be exclusively marketed by Braun.Braun are a huge player so cant see why that would be a turn off. However its heading downstill! Its a puzzle.

skyhigh - 24 Oct 2004 13:17 - 77 of 103

Willfag - agree it's disappointing to see this go down after the announcement of the Braun deal. There was nothing in the IC or shares mag on Zim.

I think mms & everyone wants to see evidence of good sales coming through that's going to provide revenue. Zim really does need to get turnover going up asap.
I reckon we could see more Zim announcements to support this in the next month or so. If we do get good news the shares will rocket. (imh) good luck.. :)

willfagg - 25 Oct 2004 09:44 - 78 of 103

thanks for comment skyhigh,it looked as if the movement was as a result of the Braun deal not being well received. However I would have thought being involved with a comapny of Braun's stature and their undoubted marketing routes for a small company like Zim was great news.As you say we will have to wait for news.

hilldee - 29 Oct 2004 16:03 - 79 of 103

Dont watch the news alone, watch the price as well. Time is coming to make some more money.

avalon - 03 Nov 2004 09:09 - 80 of 103

Hilldee,

Maybe that time has come, somethings happening with ZIM, last buy was at 9p up 1.5p on the open and the first trade shows a sell at 8p which must have been a buy. Do you think this could be MM games or a signal of news?

willfagg - 03 Nov 2004 10:45 - 81 of 103

Why would a share price move with no news and three small transactions? Is ti just going to reverse back down shortly?Strange

skyhigh - 03 Nov 2004 20:32 - 82 of 103

going on recent performance-it will probably go back down again. i hope not.
i think because Bush has won it's having a good impact on this sector, as kerry was going to bring in reforms... :)

RNS out today which could explain some of last weeks price movement:

Zi Medical PLC
08 November 2004

ZI MEDICAL PLC ('ZI MEDICAL'OR 'THE COMPANY')

NEW SYRINGE DRIVER WELL RECEIVED AT ESID CONFERENCE

The board of Zi Medical is pleased to report that the Company's fluid infusion
product currently under development for Baxter Healthcare SA was recently
positively received at the X1th Annual Meeting of the European Society for
Immunodeficiencies ('ESID') held at Versailles, Paris, France. The conference,
which was sponsored by ZLB Behring, Baxter Bioscience Europe and Bayer
Healthcare brings together a wide range of professionals, consultants, nurses
and specialist clinicians involved in the arena of immune deficiency.

A focus group was arranged during the conference the purpose of which was to
gauge reaction to Zi Medical's new syringe driver from potential user groups,
comprising key opinion leaders, specialist clinicians and patient users.

This user groups included several specific therapeutic areas that are targeted
by this infusion device.

Commenting on the success of the review, Chairman Michael Fort said

'There was enthusiastic support for the new product which we expect to launch
with our partner Baxter Healthcare SA during 2005. Particularly encouraging was
the conformity of the reactions from clinicians and patients, confirming that
the potential market for the product could be significant. Other clinical
applications for the product, including home care and palliative care can only
add to its success'.

'This is the first time we have been able to present our technology to an
independent and informed audience. Their endorsement confirms our view that our
product represents a major advance on the devices currently available in the
market. Our technology lends itself to a range of fluid delivery devices and, by
aligning ourselves with major global partners such as Baxter Healthcare SA , we
continue to expect to make a major impact in this market in 2005 and beyond.'

END

good news..just need confirmation of an early product launch date with sales plan / forecasts etc.
also need to see actual sales happening for consumables and red eye.. if we can get this soon it will give the share price the boost we're looking for. imho i still think this shaping up nicely...

hilldee - 08 Nov 2004 12:19 - 85 of 103

Ho Ho another 23% profit. This CERTAINLY a stock to TRADE in with, of course, the knowledge that you have a nice little holding that NEVER MOVES. Its an object lesson that you can all learn...but I bet you dont.

willfagg - 08 Nov 2004 12:26 - 86 of 103

I thinkl it looks a good prospect for the future, but usualy whilst there is some improvement the real gains only start when the revenues and profit start to come in and a well received product review is a way short of this.I will be in but timing it may be difficult also lack of funds prevails. perhaps PET will sky rocket and let me take some profit to put in ZIM (he said hopefully)

hilldee - 10 Nov 2004 12:20 - 87 of 103

all this discussion of when contracts will be announced and whether it will be affected by the election of Dubya...and in the midst of it all I have made an average 24% profit on two trades, within the past six weeks. So. Tell me. Is anyone else out there making money from this stock 'like what I am' Remember, all you 'news hounds' the stock goes up and down on DEMAND and need not be related to 'news'and remember, there are a dozen stocks out there you could do the same with. hilldee - 29 Nov 2004 10:28 - 90 of 103

times a coming

BANKONE - 01 Dec 2004 21:59 - 91 of 103

Is there just me and you Hilldee left awaiting the time thats coming

hilldee - 02 Dec 2004 10:34 - 92 of 103

I do hope that this is not the ONLY stock to gain your interest. This one will come round when its due and the MAIN players (who do NOT post on these boards) decide the time is right. This one has proved cyclical amidst a basic good idea and underlying rumors of potential take over, which I still believe to be very possible. One thing for sure. The main impetus in any price rise is not going to come from the folk who inhabit these pages, all of whom seem far more interested in chat than in dealing. There are other stocks of interest on this board BUT there seem to be other boards which provide more insight than Moneyam does.

willfagg - 03 Dec 2004 01:11 - 93 of 103

Bankone, yup interested but funds do not permit and its looking like a but price to me(IMO)
